Very impressive set up. We upgraded to what they call "The Level" which gives certain "benefits" such as a designated pool area, ability to eat in other restaurants for no extra or a reduced price etc. Absolutely 7* main restaurant, Mosaico, which is a huge buffet. Food absolutely top quality, fresh, delicious and varied; everything from curries to salads, vegetarian, vegan, stews, roast meats, pasta dishes, fresh fish, fresh fruit, many & varied puddings and almost anything you care to name.We found we had to eat there for most meals because the other restaurants were so poor (see below). This makes it boring, over a fortnight's stay. Our room had a balcony, and we overlooked the pools and the beach. Some rooms are what they call "swim-up"; on the ground floor, with a pool right outside the terrace. Campus easy to navigate with a lot of greenery. Staff all pleasant and polite. Negatives are: ROOMS *Because of the use of energy-efficient bulbs, the lighting in the room & bathroom was very poor. Not helpful when trying to apply make-up! *Hairdryer in bathroom poor quality *Housekeeping: their system needs reforming. Seem to have one maid to make bed & "wipe round", another to replace towels, another to replace used toiletries, another to replace coffee pods, powdered milk etc in the hospitality tray. This meant that every day we were waiting until late for towels, and the other items, usually having to phone Reception who would inform Housekeeping. This resulted in one person coming along with towels, another with a few items for the hospitality tray (usually the wrong ones!) and so on. *Lovely to have a huge magnifying mirror hanging on the wall near the basin in the bathroom. Unfortunately, it was far too high for the (average height)female in our party to use. A little thought about it's placement would help. * NO GRAB HANDLES in the bathroom! This is a big no-no, as not every guest is lithe, limber & flexible, able to leap in and out of the bath and shower with ease. There should also have been a grab handle next to the loo. * Not enough power sockets in the room for today's guests. Unless they bring a ganger or multi-way adaptor, this works out inconveniently for those with the usual tech paraphernalia that we all have these days, some or all of: laptops, kindles, phones etc. RESTAURANTS: *Mosaico - see above. Couldn't be faulted on their food, drinks & service. However, although this restaurant had two coffee machines to service the diners, neither of them were working for most of the two weeks we were there. The excuse was that they were waiting for a technician to come from another island to mend them. Eventually, one of them began working partially, offering a limited variety of drinks (2 or 3) but it's simply not good enough not to have a proper coffee offering for diners. *Pura Vida - this is a bar in the daytime, as well, but we went in the evening for what was billed as their BBQ. The quality of the food was beyon
