Providing great service isn’t easy but hotels that take the trouble to attend to the smallest of details, usually manage it. From the moment I checked in to when I checked out, I was greeted by friendly competent and professional staff; they were happy to chat but weren’t in any way intrusive. Starting with my room; it was a decent size, comfortable and clean. My only minor criticism would be that the sound – proofing could be slightly better. The only food I had in the hotel was breakfast which was well worth the €12 I paid. Again, the staff were attentive professional and helpful. I went for a continental/English breakfast and the quality of the ingredients was of a very high standard. In relation to location, the hotel is bang in the centre of Santa Cruz; five minutes walk away from the nearest tram stop. The city’s main bus station is only two tram stops away. Returning to the issue of detail, after I checked out, I used the bathroom by the restaurant. It was spotlessly clean. It’s little details like this that less good hotels sometimes overlook. Overall, I would rate this hotel as excellent and would have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending it.
