La Locanda del Loggiato

I stayed on November 4th and 6th. Breakfast was managed by Mrs. Caterina: she welcomes you with a smile and a very lively spirit. Excellent breakfast, exceptional cakes baked by her, maximum availability, a true wonder. Thanks again. Accommodation: a little extra attention to detail in the apartment would make it excellent.

As soon as you enter the very welcoming living room, you get a sense of what the room will be like. It's beautifully restored, retaining the original flooring, and tastefully furnished. They lit the fireplace in the living room, and we lingered there, enjoying the tranquil setting. Breakfast (in another building a few meters away) was excellent, and the staff (Barbara, a Milanese but happily relocated, and the breakfast ladies) were extremely friendly. Excellent value. The only flaw: the pillows, which were too high.

The management is good; the property has been carefully restored, with some original touches in the furnishings. The rooms, each unique, are clean, and the nighttime silence is complete. Even at dinnertime, the small piazza, despite being crowded, was not a nuisance. Probably, indeed certainly, the clientele and tourists are different from the rowdy and often rude ones we encounter in Liguria. The location of the excellent breakfast room, just steps from the B&B, is particularly noteworthy. Overall, highly recommended.

Je retournerais demain si je pouvais. Endroit merveilleux pour une retraite vacance. Nombreux restaurants tous meilleurs les uns et les autres. Il serait appréciable que l'endroit du déjeuner, dans un restaurant à proximité soit mieux indiqué. Le déjeuner était très valable mais par remarquable.

The quiet, refined atmosphere of the bedroom and living room, along with the delightful hospitality of the owner, Barbara, were two precious elements, along with Caterina's magnificent cakes. Breakfast is another highlight of the inn, which, despite not being on-site, is extraordinarily charming. The breakfasts are authentic, served impeccably and elegantly. I love that the tables are set as you sit down, with placemats and glass bottles, jars, and precious tableware contained in wicker baskets, expertly handled by the ladies as they accommodate guests' requests for scrambled eggs and tea and coffee.
