The location is great, near Union Square, and all the staff are nice and friendly.
The room is clean and reasonably spacious.
I don't speak English, but there was no major problem with language communication.
I gave a tip of $10 each to the person who moved my luggage and the cleaning teacher.
By the way, the person who moved my luggage willingly took a picture of me, who was alone, so I liked it even more!
The streets outside here aren't bad, but villains roam around often, so be careful.
For reference, since San Francisco 9.4 was an American holiday, there were not many people and it was very dangerous for an Asian woman to walk alone, especially at night!
The hotel is excellent and situated in a fantastic location. It offers great amenities and services, making it an ideal choice for both short and long stays. Highly recommended!

This is a typical midrange hotel located in the Tenderloin area in San Fransisco. The hotel has a small reception and elevator to the floors with rooms. Breakfast room, pool and gym are located at a neighbour hotel across the street. The room was nice and had good space. It was a little worn, and was styled in a old fashion and rather dark manner. But it gave it personality and charm. Be aware of the neighbourhood. There were a lot of homeless people around the hotel, and it was rather uncomfortable to walk in the evening, and we felt unsafe as we passed huge groups of homeless people that acted rather aggresive among themself. Also at check-out the hotel charged 67 dollars in ”urban fees”. As we were in a hurry to catch our flight I didnt have time to discuss this, but I still wonder what this was.
The location ia wonderful The lobby very beautiful but the ber closes at 23:00,very early!!! The reception was very kind The rooma very big with good view. The only negative that the windows were dirty. The pool was so fime and the jacuzzi. The breakfast seema small, but its to big and variable. The food in the hotel restaurant is exciting!!! Guys one of thr best hotel in my life!!!
The St. Regis San Francisco can be said to be the ceiling level of local hotels, and it is also one of the top hotels I have stayed in in the United States. It is in an excellent location. SFMoMA is next door to the hotel, and it is basically only a 5-7 minute walk from the Union Square shopping street. The overall size of the hotel is not large, but the services, hardware, and facilities are very exquisite and delicate. Although the quality is far from the St. Regis Hotel in China, it cannot be judged by domestic standards in the United States. It is highly recommended!
Arrived from uk 25Dec for 3 nights with our teenage daughter Room was a very good size and comfortable but without a view . However a roof terrace o. 16th floor to see the city from .Breakfast area was spacious and adequate for what you would expect in North America. The only thing that let it down is the area .but its also a good point 3 min walk to Westfield shopping and the tram to fishermans wharf . 5 min walk to union square .As other reviews say a large homeless population in this area we never felt unsafe walking to / from. The hotel but were aware and alert whist walking .saying that we walked all the way to the amtrak bus stop on mission st with our cases no problem at all after check out . So somebody who is visiting this area who hasn't seen a downtown are of a US city may be a little uneasy . Its a sad part of life and outside the control of the hotel so all in all a good stay
I used to be a frequent guest at the W SF back when it was Starwood but had not visited since Marriott took over the W Brand. I did try and stay last year but before arriving I read that the restaurant was closed and I asked the hotel what they were doing as an alternative, but they had absolutely nothing for Platinum Breakfast (other than 1k points per stay which is a HUGE downgrade), so I opted for another hotel. I had high expectations for this stay as I had previously loved this hotel, but as a frequent traveler in Marriott brands and having one of their Highest Elite traveler statuses (and staying at W Brands lately), I knew service levels were still suffering post pandemic. Unfortunately, it started low right from the beginning. I had confirmed a Studio Suite in advance. When I arrived, I was given a corner room that almost seemed smaller than standard rooms (Room 2109). I inquired about upgrades to larger rooms, and I was told no, because it was a busy weekend, and nothing would be available. I checked on the app and saw that every room type was available for the length of my stay and beyond. I was basically DOWNGRADED. Once settling into the room, then I realized the major issues. Smaller rooms should be easier to clean, right? Well, this one not only had carpet stains, but I quickly found out that the ”Marriott Commitment to Clean” was actually a Commitment to Ignore. Not only were their stains on the carpet and dust and dirt in the windowsills, I found a previous guest's room keys sitting on the counter. Obviously, the room was just ”re-set” and not inspected or cleaned at all. I guess the promised sanitizing was out of the question. We then went to get some ice and noticed that the ice bucket was half filled with standing water. It was disgusting! Thats not the worst part, I then found a pair of women's ”play-style” lingerie slightly soiled sitting on the floor by the sofa. I mentioned the cleanliness issues to the Front Desk, but the representative simply stared at me and then asked if there was anything else I needed? I should have been a bit more insistent that they take it down, but I was so shocked I did not. The room setup, although smaller than what I wanted and pre-confirmed, was also not great. There is no storage at all other than the closet. There are no drawers at all or other places to keep clothes or anything else. If you have two suitcases, you are going to have to keep them out as there is no place to put them in the closet. Other than the Front Desk and Room Condition, we had a nice stay, although the Room is really what we paid for. The rest of the staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful. The breakfast staff were great, and the food was amazing! Kudos for them for sure! Actually, the only place I was every recognized or thanked for being a Marriott Elite was from the hostess at Breakfast. The bellhop was also quite nice and helpful when we checked-out and needed to store lugga
The hotel is very good in all aspects, and the location is excellent. It is only 4-5 minutes walk from Powell station, less than 10 minutes walk from union square, and a few minutes walk from Dangdang bus departure station. The service is also very good, the shower button in the bathroom came within a few minutes, and then the manager came to confirm (we didn't get the switch right), the room was also quite clean, the only downside was that the hotel facilities were a bit outdated.
Amenities are really lacking - the room lacked basic items, including no free water in the room, no slippers, only one dressing gown (despite being booked for two people). Temperature controls were inconsistent. The lighting was either on or off - no way to turn off just a few.
Service was predominately pretty poor - staff were grumpy and aloof from our arrival onwards. But Sammie was fantastic - when we encountered an issue with the heating in our original room she was super accommodating and friendly.
Redeeming qualities - the room was really clean, housekeeping were great, the view from the roof was great, and the location was walking distance from so many places (MOMA, Union Square, Oracle Stadium, Chase Stadium, Pier 33 for Alcatraz, ferry building etc) as well as good food options.

GGuest UserBeautiful hotel in good location for us. Had appetizers and wine in the bar area. Servers were wonderful, friendly and checked back often. Sara at the front desk conducted the nicest check-in experience we can recall. Our king room on the 12th floor was a bit small. Surprised that in California the in-room coffee involved so much wasted cardboard and paper just to get a bit of sugar. Small complaint, though.
TTravis32The location is good, located in the main business center, surrounded by some of the major shopping malls in the United States such as macy's. The front desk service was not bad, but when we checked in, the front desk forgot to ask for a credit card guarantee. After shopping back the next day, I locked the room directly. The key could not be used. Only when I got back to the front desk, I felt a little uncomfortable. Because the big bag of small bag went upstairs and down, the front desk can completely in the previous phone room or leave a message, these have not been received.
KKim HThis is the best hotel in every way! The front desk personnel are awesome; they went above and beyond to see to it that we were happy and that we had everything we needed--Shout out to Rogelio and Joel! The restaurant, Shelby's Rooftop, is spectacular. They will give you a blanket if it is cold. The food is amazing, the view is awesome, and the service is perfect-- shout out to Rambo! If you are in San Francisco, stay here! It is awesome!
BBryan GThe staff was very informative, polite, and kind. The front desk manager walked me from the office and down the sidewalk to show me the entrance to where I could find my room. He even helped me solve a kind of tricky situation with competence and ease allowing for compromise and a win-win situation. Honest folks here and a nice stay over.
Llovetravel7519I was bit hesitant initially about the location but this was a good choice as it was close to Moscone centre where I was attending the event. I usually used UBER to and from hotel so everything worked out well Rooms are clean and had all necessary amenities.Overall no complaints. I had requested early check in from Booking.com but it was not available on arrival. The front desk arranged for the luggage to be stored. I had interacted with 3 front desk staff and two of went out of their way to advice and help. This hotel also has free onsite parking which us a rarity. Overall recommended
GGuest UserIt is smacked right in the center where homeless people are so as a foreigner, we feel safer to go out by car (they offer a parking lot in the building) or use Uber ir Lyft. Very clean room. Very lovely housekeepers. Don't expect much from the front desk. No breakfast available.
The staff at this hotel are very friendly and accommodating! John is awesome! My nephew has been staying here temporarily and they have been very supportive and helpful. The neighborhood is decently clean. Close to Trader Joe’s, Harvest Market, and other restaurants. You can walk to downtown SF easily for a nice walk. There’s 24 hour staff available as well.
