The room and pictures are nothing like what is shown - there was blood on the walls, desk and sheets. Other people’s hair were on the bedsheets. The desk chair has been ripped apart. The floors and walls were fully organic because they had never been cleaned or at least not in a long time. The shower floor was the same, incredibly organic as it too, had not been cleaned properly. You will be told when you call the elevator is being repaired but it hasn’t worked in minimum 4 months. I don’t care how much you’re “saving” stay here it is NOT worth it.
The location was in an unsafe area, our flight got in late. Once we located parking (which we got a $90 ticket for, our fault for not understanding the signage) we walked towards the front entrance, three individuals began to hustle towards us as we made our way to enter the key code into the front door. We rushed in and closed the door as they stood asking us to open it. I ordered Uber eats bc it seemed safer than going to drive but when the food arrived, those same 3 were waiting to run towards me as I grabbed the food. If it wasn’t for the scooter parked inappropriately, they would have 1) gained access to the building 2) potentially robbed me or whomever was in the building.
Once that food arrived 1 gnat quickly turned to 15 or more. They swarmed the food, drinks and us. We booked 3 nights and would have left the first one had it not already been 1:45am by the time we were into the hotel with our luggage. Plus, it didn’t feel safe to risk going outside until day light. The gnats continued into the next morning, swarming the bag that the food had been in. There was no hand soap provided but there was shampoo/conditioner/body wash - but we refused to use that shower. The toilet had a sign that stated all used tissue must go into the waste basket to conserve water. We ended up booking elsewhere for the next two nights. Please do not book at Calista Organic “hotel” or with us.trip.com as their business practices and partners allow and support unsafe, unsanitary and fraudulent business transactions. I am disputing this charge with my bank as it’s been nearly 2 weeks without a hint of a refund for even just the two remaining nights.
I have emailed Trips.com and provided the same pictures below however they keep saying “we will have an update to this issue in 24 hours”, for the last 13 days as of 7/27/23.
