Hotels Near Boulevard Trail (Cowles Mountain) in San Diego

Poorly ran hotel. Restaurant closes on a whim even though we had a contract stating their hours. Strange homeless person roaming the halls with no action by staff, even after being alerted. No wash cloths again today. Cleaning service might do your room, might not. We asked for daily service. This place isn’t worth another stay.

The hotel room is very large, the design must be beautiful, and the breakfast is also very delicious. It's a typical American breakfast. It's very good to have a menu to order according to your taste. The house has a sofa. It's very considerate to have a waiter come to the room to open the sofa and put it on. This has easily been the worst hotel room I've ever stayed at in the US. Awful, I guarantee you are better off staying anywhere else. We are a family of three and we have stayed at a lot of 3-star places during road trips (and myself during business trips), this was by far the worst I have ever seen. The layout was a typical king and a sofa bed but the space was absolutely tiny without any room left when the sofa bed was opened. The mattress of the sofa bed was disgustingly filthy (I know because we had to put the linen ourselves despite having booked it for three). There is absolutely no soundproofing whatsoever. None, zero: in the morning we woke up from the neighbouring rooms doors slamming open and close, in the evening you could hear the TV's through the thin walls. And 24h you can hear the traffic from the nearby highway. Breakfast was absolutely minimal (no fruit, no pastry, no cheese). No WiFi access in the room. The pictures showing a large lobby and swimming pool are entirely misleading: the swimming pool is actually small sized. Literally a tiny room at a cheap motel at the price of a 4-star hotel and a miserable experience.

The lady at the front desk has a very good service. She often smiles 😊 The environment is good, the room is large, the breakfast is varied and delicious. The attitude of the aunt who is doing hygiene is average. The room facilities I live in are small in the sewer. The bath water is so slow and slow. The bathtub is full of water while taking a bath. Then the toilet also saw it, and then changed a room, which was also a small sewer mouth, the bathtub was slow to walk, and the water was seen. Change rooms or change rooms from the second floor to the fifth floor, and an elevator was broken.

I found that there were hair on the towels and no shampoo, but they could all be resolved. The room is large, has a microwave oven, is close to the road but has good sound insulation, new facilities, breakfast is better than the Sheraton at the back, but the serving time is shorter. Now I figured it out. The hotels with the suffix BY marriot, byhillton, by, etc., are not the big room wives of these big hotels. They just put a name, but sometimes they are more real. The hotel's strength is concentrated on accommodation, eating, and safety. , Easy access and other core areas, not the appearance of the lobby, bar, and service staff

🗺️Location: There is an office area around, but there is a small mall opposite, which is very convenient for shopping and eating. The only inconvenience is that the hotel door is on a one-way street, and it is a bit troublesome to go back to the hotel on the other side. 🌳Environment: The floor is very high, there is a large swimming pool on the garden floor, and there are sofas and bamboo chairs outside the lobby on the first floor, which looks very comfortable. 🏨Facilities: After all, American hotels are old, so the facilities are not very new, but passable. There is a bar in the lobby, a convenience store, and a business lounge for members. There is no alcohol, only drinks and fruits. 🏠 Room: spacious and bright, with good hygiene. The bedding is very comfortable, and the curtains have good shading effect to ensure the quality of sleep. The bathroom is very new, except that there are no disposable items, (you can ask the front desk for lotion, combs, etc.) everything else is very good. All in all, highly recommended! Very friendly hotel. Because I didn't get a free room upgrade, my parking fee was waived, thank you very much!

The room is clean, tidy and comfortable, but the air conditioner is too noisy, the disinfectant in the swimming pool is too strong, and parking is charged. The waiters are warm and thoughtful, and the experience is good. I will stay here every time I go to San Diego. Shopping is convenient around here.

Clean, spacious, lovely, top-notch. Friendly front desk. Large, free parking lot. Two elevators. Good signage. Comfortable beds. Clever low pull-out table big enough for two suitcases. Heavy closet and bathroom doors. Breakfast not included. Two muffins at the bar were $11. Coffee maker in room.

Valerie (front desk) is exceptional. Grounds were clean. I have a very expensive car and I had NO issues parking here (even though I parked on the street a few times because the spaces are so thin....people double park unfortunately). Only thumbs down is that its a stones throw away from a freeway lane and the AirForce base in less than 5 miles away (lots of helicopter sounds and aircraft in general).I really have nothing to complain about. I'll end this by saying again....Valerie was exceptional. Sweet. Friendly. Super cool reading glass frames. Very kind human being. Great lady.

Our experience at this hotel was great, from checkin to follow up! We only stayed one night, but all of stay, plus our hurried departure, went very smoothly. Front desk reception is very welcoming. Our room was OK - I believe this is an older hotel, because the bathrooms are tiny. The room was impeccably clean. On our departure morning, we arrived at the restaurant and were greeted by Alice. She told us the price of the buffet breakfast was $20. per person, but asked if we were Marriott members. She took the time to go to the desk and check our status, and returned to tell us that our breakfast buffet was free. (Don't miss being greeted by Alice!). The buffet was much better than those you might experience at other hotel chains, and service was excellent - Alice was overseeing. We left in a rush, and I realized when we got to the airport that I had left my sweater. I called when we returned home and talked to Midge at Reception. Midge immediately put me on hold, and returned to say she had found the sweater and would mail it back to me. (Thanks to executive housekeeper Carina). We also received a personal email from Julie after our return, thanking us for staying with them. This hotel is just off a very busy Interstate, but is a real oasis. Again, the reception staff was most helpful to recommend restaurants nearby. You will feel like a very special person at the hands of the Sheraton staff.
