This is the second time I have stayed at this Residence Inn in the past two months. And it will be the last time I will stay here. The room was fine and the amenities were fine. The staff was pleasant and the location was, well, okay. When you leave the place, be careful, since the exit is immediately adjacent to an exit off the expressway and is potentially dangerous. Now for the nickel and dime expenses. The first time I didn't even bother to look at the checkout statement. This time I did. First off was a $10 parking fee. A parking fee at the Residence Inn? Really? And, of course, there is the parking fee tax added on. Next was the Convention & Tourism fee. No doubt this is really beneficial to me since all I did was stay in the place for 9 hours before leaving. Next on the agenda was the State Occupancy Tax, City Tax and Restaurant Tax. I will be traveling through San Antonio again in the near future. No more parking fee, parking tax and convention and tourism tax for me. Goodbye!

San Antonio City Center
We were warmly greeted and given a city map and directions to a local restaurant. They informed us about breakfast and house keeping. We were not left on our own to figure it all out. Our room was very nice and clean. Unfortunately, the bed was NOT a Marriott bed. 🥲. It wasn’t what I expected. It was an ordinary spring mattress. I did fall asleep, however. I just didn’t feel the love. The movie channels were on demand only. $19..99 per movie, regardless of when it was released. The room had a fridge, 2 burner range, microwave, and Dishwasher! Plates, utensils etc. We had 4 neighbors, but never heard a thing. Our car was just outside the side door. Airport style carts were provided for us to carry our luggage in. Breakfast was breakfast burritos; sausage egg biscuits; cold cereal; hot cereal; fruit; yogurt. All the basics. Staff were very pleasant. There is a laundry facility for you to use, coin operated. Pool, weight room, basketball/tennis court. I’d stay here again.
