The view from our 3-bed room (cat. "Bellavista double room") with 1 double bed at the window and a large single bed in the gallery (only accessible via a ladder) was magnificent: the Engadin lake district (Silser, Silvaplana and St. Moritz lakes) , Val Roseg and the mountains "around", see uploaded photos. The room was super clean but a bit tight. - The "sitting area" only consisted of two small upholstered chairs and a tiny little table. However, there is the "Stüwa", a small lounge with a desk, sofa and some armchairs including a small collection of games and some books. The breakfast was one of the best we have ever had in Switzerland. - Served by very friendly service staff. The same applies to dinner, which features upscale - but not gourmet - cuisine. The portions were too generous for that. We also didn't dare to eat the 5-course menu offered because we were afraid that we would be full after the third course. However, you can also order the courses from the menu individually. The only disadvantage for us was that the bus traffic is not coordinated with the funicular journeys, so there is a big risk that the bus will drive away from under your nose (or vice versa). However, you can make the transfer in the direction of St. Moritz if the funicular leaves on time, as the walk of approx. 50 m can be done in approx. 1 minute. If you arrived by car, you can park for free directly in front of the funicular valley station building and of course rides on the funicular are free during your hotel stay. A delicacy in the winter: “Sledging” (tobogganing) is free for hotel guests! You can simply rent your toboggan at reception and just walk around the house to the starting point of the most winding toboggan run in the Engadine. However, the toboggan run is very steep - especially in the upper half - and you have to be very attentive and careful so that no accidents happen.
