The Sach Hotel is famous in Austria. When I did the Raiders, I saw more of the Sach in Vienna. Less about Salzburg. I really want to feel this hotel this time, and considering the cost (Salzburg is cheaper), I booked sacher in Salzburg.
The front desk of the hotel is very friendly. I know that my Chinese also chat with me in bulk and simple Chinese. She said that she had studied Chinese for a year, and she was almost returning it to the teacher. After checking-in, I will personally take me to the room and tell me that the cake can be purchased from the store downstairs or at the cafe for afternoon tea. As for the taste of the cake, I am a heavy chocolate sweetie lover, I like it (the cream on the side can relieve the greasy).
It should be noted that the hotel will send an afternoon tea in the afternoon and two sacher cakes [laughing R]. In the morning, I feel that the single self-service is a bit expensive. I choose to call room service more than half cheaper. The result is amazing. Coffee is directly given to a pot, the taste of the boiled is really top [strong] yogurt jam is not said, every time I go to Europe, my favorite đ» breakfast outside the window is really good, rainy days do not affect the mood.
The hotel's promenade and room layout are very distinctive, each room is different. All in all, Salzburg occasionally corrupts this sacher is really good.

When I was looking for a hotel for a 1-night stay in Salzburg, I stumbled upon the listing for the Hyperion and took a chance. I wasn't familiar with the Hyperion hotel brand and didn't know much about Salzburg. Now, I have fallen under the spell of both the hotel and the city. The Hyperion is a fairly new hotel and it is in pristine shape. The room is rather generously sized compared to most of the European hotels I have stayed in thus far. The bathroom was particularly good -- with an American-style shower that featured both a handheld wand and a rain shower head. The separate water closet was a plus. The technology in the room (especially the lighting tech) is impressive, if not slightly confusing. Nice touch to have the Nescafe machine and the Mozart chocolates. The bed was very comfortable. The location, next to Mirabell Gardens, was great. The hotel staff was helpful. We arrived early, and the front desk gave us tips on how to spend our afternoon, drawing out some local attractions on the map and suggesting we get a Salzburg card (we already had them). They also gave us a recommendation for dinner, but we were turned away at the restaurant, which was full. In stead, we dined at the restaurant in the hotel, which was quite nice. Service was solid. Breakfast is a tad expensive, but they do offer a wide assortment of breakfast items (hot and cold) as well as eggs made to order. Champagne was also available for mimosas. Nice touch.

This hotel is a 15-minute brisk walk from the train station. The arrival process was quick. The room I was assigned to was clean, but I had to move some of the furniture around to suit my needs. I found it odd that the writing desk had a lamp that had no way of turning on because there was no electrical socket on that side of the room. I also moved the standing lamp close to the side of the wall as it made more sense positioning it there. I would suggest putting up day sheers instead of just having night drapes. If you draw open the drapes, the room looks down on the main road below and this also allows people from below to look up into the room. If you do need other guest amenities, just call or head down to the reception desk and pick them up. My room rate included breakfast, which was perfect because the cafes were quite a walk away. I got around mostly on foot as the main attractions were all walking distance from the hotel.

This is a really nice hotel just beside the train station and across the street from the main bus lines that take you everywhere in the City. The room was excellent with a free mini-bar and other nice amenities. It is definitely worth spending more for the higher floor as the view is spectacular. Lot's of mountains on one side and rolling countryside on the other. The staff were all good, check-in and check-out was easy and the breakfast in the morning was tasty with lots of variety. I would definitely stay there again.

Cocoon Salzburg - 10-13 July 2022 done both not all pix only the room This hotel is almost right across from the train station, on a corner, very easy to find - white 7 story building with a big butterfly outline on the glass doors. Inside the lobby is part of the bar and breakfast room. Checkin is super friendly. Room is small but wins the cuteness prize. Carpeting and walls in hallway all green with small leafy patterns like in a jungle. Bed is firm and very comfy, bedding is an interesting weave feeling like soft cotton paper, and 4 big fluffy pillows. No amenities in room such as phone, electric kettle or coffee makers, or even a small fridge. Has safe however. The hanging rattan chair is cute but takes up some room. Day couch by the window, no tables, night stands or desk - or chair for that matter (no room anyway). The most minimal amount of furniture, the idea I guess is all about lounging around so you don't ever need to sit up anywhere. Not much surface to layout stuff just a sort of narrow shelving on the wall next to the TV. Bathroom also tiny but everything is new and modern and the rain shower is the best ever. Takes a bit of maneuvering to get our two large suitcases settled. We are on the 6th floor so have a bit of view of mountains over the top of a building across the street. Windows have electrically controlled shutters outside (push button inside). You get a nice bar of chocolate and 5 euros for opting out housekeeping (although they said something about not continuing this practice). Floor uncarpeted. Aircon good. Wifi seems pretty fast. Nightlight under the bed is motion sensitive, so it comes on whenever you are moving around the room. Breakfast is good with scrambled and pre shaped fried eggs, sausage and bacon-like ham. Good selection of pastries and croissants and breads. Half dozen different kinds of tea all loose so need to scoop into a teabag in order to steep which is interesting and pretty fancy. Selection of cold meats as well and cheese. Tomato, cucumber and fruit. They don't check to see if you have breakfast included which is strange because it's extra charge for breakfast so not automatically included in all rooms. Overall a pretty good breakfast and food gets replenished pretty quickly. Seating tends to run out at peak time and people will ask to share your table if there is room.

The hotel is very conveniently located just by Salzburg station. Bus r 2 connects it to the airport. Good area with restaurants and shops very close. 15/20 minutes walk to all the main attractions. The hotel was nice and clean. The staff nice and helpful. The common areas of the hotel are modern and clean. There's a room for the luggage if you need to keep it before checking in or after checking out. The rooms were spacious and clean. So is the bathroom. The breakfast was very good, the breakfast room has a lovely view of the city. The only complain we have is that the room was very hot and the shower head bracket didn't work.

We only stayed here for one night on our way to St. Wolfgang and Hallstatt. We picked this place because it's super close to both the train and bus stations, plus the price was really reasonable.
When we checked in later in the evening, we met this friendly receptionist from Germany, but we didn't catch his name.
The room was spotless, with a nice clean bathroom, air conditioning, and a kettle. The only downside was no fridge in the room, but they said we could use the one at the front desk if we needed.
Breakfast on the 6th floor was awesome with great views of the mountains.
Overall, this hotel was perfect for our quick stay, and we'd definitely choose it again next time we're in Salzburg.

I have nothing but accolades for this hotel. 1) location - walk from the hotel to most everything you want to go to (yes, it may be about a mile, but youâre on vacation, and you could do with a little exercise, couldnât you). 2) Konstantina - at check in - welcomed us with humor, practical advice. and kindness 3) rooms were gigantic by European standards, and clean 4) the fitness center is fantastic

We were on our way to Greece and needed a place to stay the night. This hotel is just next to the highway and next to a McDonald's. So you have to eat and don't lose time through the city. They offer a parking space without charging as well and the check in was possible till late in the evening. The price is very good, the room nothing special but exactly what we needed. The pillows could be more comfortable but otherwise nothing to complaint.

Booked this hotel for our ski holiday as only 60-90 mins from many ski resorts. Breakfast is amazing with lots of choice and every day had scrambled eggs and bacon plus many other options. Bus too opposite with number 4 bus running about every 20 mins until about 2230 hours. Cost for single is âŹ3 euros. (Only take cash on buses). They also offer a day ticket for âŹ4.50 but not sure if you have to buy this from a machine as didnât offer on bus. You can buy a return ticket! We never had an issue with parking although the car park was often busy as the Sushi restaurant is very popular. There is also a Chinese buffet restaurant opposite called Huy Cook and Eat. ({âŹ25). Food was good. They offered lots of raw fish and I wasnât aware that they actually cook it for you! Rooms were cleaned every day and shower was awesome. I would have given this 5 stars but some of the reception staff werenât very helpful. Eg. Not knowing any information about basic stuff like the buses!

Outstanding
GGuest UserThis is probably the best place we have ever stayed! Alex and Iris are great hosts, friendly and very helpful. Everything is perfect. The rooms are spotless, the toiletries luxurious, bed very comfortable, great to have tea and coffee making facilities. The breakfast was lovely, great choice, lots of homemade and local produce and my husband said it was the best omelette he'd eaten. Lots of information on things to do in Salzburg. 20 minute easy walk or quick bus ride into the old town to get to Christmas markets and other museums and attractions. Easy to get to from the airport. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you Alex and Iris!
æșæșçšæ èĄéĄŸéźJoaLooking at the high-net commentary, I finally saw the charm of the front desk elder sister, warm and cheerful, humorous and intimate. One seems to have settled the hotel's work. I saw that we had arranged two large rooms and introduced the room personally. In-house facilities and usage, proud to tell you that these functions are made in Germany, not only send a gift bag in each room, but also tell you that all the drinks in the refrigerator are free, and the service attitude is the best in the entire Eastern European line. However, there is no air conditioning in the room. It is estimated that the old building cannot be installed. Only Dyson's fan, the room we stayed in is still a bit stuffy! There are three large windows in the friend's room, which is well ventilated and more comfortable than us!
GGuest UserThe hotel location is little away but you can always walk down to the river in 15 min. i did not like the room decor. It was too dark. The hotel room was small. Bathroom had only one gel type. Hotel is good for single day stay.
BBenny Hon ChungThis hotel's location is excellent. It is about 15 minutes walk to the old town centre and 10 minutes to the railway station. The meeting point for local tours to Hallstatt and other places is just around the corner. The reception staff are always attentive and polite. They have greeted me with a smile whenever they saw me. The restaurant Mirabelle's Italian cuisine is one of the best I have ever tasted. The staff there are very welcoming and caring. The hotel's room service delivered very good food at a reasonable price too. The room is of a good size and the bed is comfortable. The only thing I don't like is the noise of the vehicle clearing rubbish bins. It always woke me up before six in the morning. So choose the rooms on the garden side if there is a choice.
GGuest UserThe bus to Salzburg is only 15 minutes away, but there are several buses going at the same time, and Hellbrunn or Cable Kata are both on the mountain, so if you have a timetable to go there, you can stay in the hotel, especially if you travel from Take the Flix or Leo bus in Prague or elsewhere. This is the direction from the station to the city, so you can find accommodation earlier because the accommodation is earlier than the city. The staff are friendly and it rains a lot in Salzgan, so I rented an umbrella from the hotel and used it well. The disadvantage is that it is air-conditioned, so I chose this type of accommodation, which is usually not what we think it is, but a fan-like device.
Please note that air conditioning is installed. However, it rained on the day we went, so that air conditioning was not needed. Opening the window and blowing the wind is much cooler than opening the air conditioner. You can open the window, because there are no mosquitoes, it doesn't matter. In addition to the disappointment with the air conditioning, the price is cheaper than the accommodation in Salzburg, so you can take the bus.
We visited Salzburg on the 4th week of August recently. We stayed in Das Salz with my family. Its a different kind of a hotel run by College students on a part time basis. The hotel does not have a reception, instead one of the students will be there between 9-5pm to address your concerns. The following are my feedback: PROS: 1. Good compact clean rooms. Quite spacious. 2. Great location with access to trains ( 10 min walking), bus stop( next to the hotel), departmental stores ( SPAR 100m) and lots of food options through restaurants. The city centre near Mirabel palace is about 15min walking fromm the hotel. 3. Decent restaurant at the lobby also operated by students. 4. Provision for luggage room and lockers to keep your valuable safe while you explore Salzburg. 5. The students are quite helpful and supportive. 6. Great options of bicycles and umbrellas on a rainy day. CONS: 1. No kettle and tea/coffe provisions in the room. 2. We were given Access number for Access to doors and rooms. No key or key cards. Once the Access number did not work. I had to request for a new Access number to get through. 3. The hotel is on the busy main road. If your windows is facing the main road, it makes a lot of sound in the busy hours. Hence you need to keep the windows closed. 4. Centralized A/C. The room A/C controls does not work. I tried many times. On a hot day, it would be very inconvenient.
GGuest UserI booked this hotel online after lot of research and went by the brand of âBest Westernâ, whose properties I have stayed around the world in the past. However, I would say the experience was much below expectations. Pros 1. Very close to Salzburg train station. It is about 2kms from the station 2. Bus stops are right opposite of hotel so ease of public transport 3. Walking distance to Mirabell Palace and Mozartplatz (main tourist attractions) 4. Several Indian restaurants within walking distance from hotel. 5. I was given a large room so it was good from family point of view 6. Room, bathroom was clean, nice bed, clean bed linen and towels etc 7. Staff at FD was efficient and solved most of our issues quickly. Cons 1. When we checked into room, we noticed that not even electric kettle, tea, coffee was provided in the room. It was provided only after brought into the notice of the front desk. 2. Intercom in the room was not working, so every time you have to go to the FD to inform 3. The room has a very small window at shoulder level, which was quite odd. 4. Salzberg was quite warm during our stay and AC was not working in the room. 5. Breakfast spread was small considering this was a 4 star hotel. 6. The bathroom has peculiar design & it was quite awkward for our Indian sensibilities, that shower enclosure was in glass open to view from all sides from the room. Such arrangement is not suitable if you have older children staying in the same room. We had our 10y old with us and we had to finish our shower before she would wake up. I would rather avoid this hotel in future!!
GGuest UserThe room was very comfortable, very close to the station, just a short walk, the heating was sufficient, the sound insulation was good, and the English communication was no problem. Local accommodations need to be paid separately (for a total of 3.1) for taxes and fees.
XXiu HuiNear the train station, it takes 6-8 minutes to walk; there is no refrigerator or kettle in the room
The operation at the front desk will be slow, so you need to wait patiently.
On the first day of check-in, I found that the bath towel was dirty. I wanted to take it out and change it, but the front desk had to check in for a group, so I gave it to them the next day. Since I didn't plan to do room cleaning, I asked them to leave the bath towel at the front desk and wait until they returned to the hotel. I asked them to get it, but it was delayed until the afternoon of the third day.
But I'm also very grateful that they were willing to let me store my luggage for two days after checking out to go to Hallstatt.
The room has a simple style. The design of the bathroom is a little strange to me, because the glass door that separates dry and wet areas has no door handle on the inside, making it difficult to close the door.
GGuest UserArrived on 11.06.2023 at around 3 am. Sent an email before hand that we would be arriving at said time via train. When we got to the hostel, check in counter was not manned with sign to call reception phone. Tried calling phone number several times it did not connect, when it got through it went straight to voice mail. Been waiting for more than half an hour at 3 am, tired and exhausted from the journey when a group of drunk men entered the lobby and was gaining access to the bar which was also unmanned. They went behind the counter, opening the fridge with beers, it was only then when a very sleepy, exhausted and unapologetic staff appeared. Check in process took a long time since she even had to check if the room was ready, a room I already paid in advance for to reserve it since I knew we would be arriving after 6 pm - their cut off time for room reservation of free cancellation bookings.
