Very cozy and friendly hotel atmosphere..Service was professional, friendly and caring for all our needs. Travelled wih my husband on vacation. Room was cleanned everyday, room service was attentive to our requests, only the cleanliness of bathroom lacked attention. Air conditioning, being a beach front summer hotel, worked perfectly. Some of the employees went above and beyond their duties to help our staying feel like home. Mauricio at the poolbar and Gabriel - great friendly delicious tropical cocktails served. Carlos Jose at the main Hotel Restaurant did a fantastic job with a smile always. Barbara at the restaurante was exceptional. The receptionists always had a genuine friendliness way to make us happy to be back with a smile and what can we do for your staying be perfect? Trully we enjoyed once again be the guest at the facility. Will be back!

You're going to get away from this place. You're treating the client with total disrespect and disrespect. I booked for Booking 20 days before the trip. When I arrived at the check-in, the hotel team reported that it had no rooms available, that the rooms were not in a position to receive guests and therefore were blocked, and that Booking was making the rooms available for an error of the hotel. Booking systems and they had no way to change that. They said it was not possible to contact who booked because Booking does not provide any form of contact, which is a lie because I received a confirmation email with a message from the ”Team Oyo” a few days after booking. It was so lie that the next day the No-Show fee was still collected and they sent a message saying I didn't appear after confirming the reservation. the lack of communication between the network managers and the hotel team, and I am thinking of the state of conservation of the rooms to have such treatment. we were not the only, during the time we tried to solve had other 3 guests who arrived and had the I had to look for another hotel at 21:00, after hours of travel and rainfall, with travel costs.

The hotel is being repaired and nobody told us. The entrance is a different one and there is no one to help us showing the way. The reception is kind of disorganized and the people of the check in/ out not so friendly. The room and bathroom were not so good and had a bad smell. The food is Ok. The breakfast is good. The pool area was kind of dirty. Many people at the gym place at the same time and some of them not wearing masks. We expected more.

This hotel is good and has a very good buffet breakfast and I also enjoyed the evening buffet there. However, the beach which the hotel overlooks is difficult to access and also has a large building site next to it. The wifi is shocking and it is almost an exaggeration to say that it exists. In the rooms it keeps cutting out and in the restaurant it is not available at all in some parts

The Fasano is located next to the Pelourinho, the UNESCO World Heritage Site. This means you can walk to the main sights easily. Old building, nicely renovated, now in modern style. Rooms tend to be on the small side, but are nice and have all you need. Nice rooftop pool with small bar, great views. Breakfast is very good, good choice and good quality. Lunch is ok, but nothing special. Most staff members are very friendly, they try their best to accommodate your needs. Yes there are some hiccups in the service, things got forgotten etc, but as they are very friendly you can live with it. Probably one of the better Fasanos, compared to others, here the staff pay more attention to details and are more client focused. I can recommend this hotel for a nice stay in Salvador, probably the best option in town. I would like to thank Janine, Maria and all other staff members who did their best to make my stay a very nice one.

This hotel is simple but it has everything you need. The pool is great and the internet connection by the pool works better than the rooms. It is located near restaurants, bars, groceries stores, and pharmacies. Breakfast could improve. I wish they had more local tropical fruits. However, breakfast is simple but well served. Located just steps from the beach, which is calm and not lots of waves. Good for kids.

The location and significance of this hotel is unknown. I thought it was a hotel by the sea, but it was not by the sea. It is not very safe to walk to the sea or to the surrounding restaurants (the security guard said). The hotel's swimming pool is small and average. Breakfast was mediocre. The location is an hour away from the city. Although the service attitude is very good, it is difficult to give high marks.
Thank you for choosing our Wyndham Salvador Hangar Aeroporto hotel.
GGuest User2023.03.01
The Novotel Salvador Hangar Aeroporto best features are its location near the airport, newer facilities than most properties in Salvador, and it operates under the ACCOR hotel brand. Despite these advantages, I must report a unacceptable experience during my stay December 28th to 31st 2022 followed by deplorable managerial customer service in response to verified and documented service failures. I have reported these issues to my travel agency, my corporate travel unit, and my personal travel networks. As I discovered this property using Trip Advisor, I have decided to report this matter for the benefit of my fellow readers. I do not recommend this property for business travelers nor cultural tourism travelers (especially not those seeking afro-Brazilian tourism or those welcoming to the African diaspora). I share some reasons herein: • Unreliable Service: During my stay I experienced one major internet outage over six business hours, as well as minor room outages (less than 30 minutes) on each day of my stay. This hotel was advertised as catering to business travelers, but the hotel provided no updates when internet would be restored despite repeated requests. I did not receive any support to manage the disruption to my teleworking, and personnel were unable/unwilling to facilitate solutions (At one point, I was recommended to use the free internet of one of the shopping malls. Imagine carrying expensive computer equipment to what my taxi driver warned was a “high crime” area). Sadly, the ability of the reception staff to identify solutions was more unreliable than the internet service. • Poor Room Quality: This hotel advertises rooms of high standards of quality, and I am sure many receive good rooms. However, I received a room that was both substandard quality (bathroom sidings and interior furniture water damaged, door malfunction, refrigerator malfunction) and pollutted by the buildings HVAC exhaust being poorly designed, allowing exhaust to flow against rooms on the lower floor (high noise pollution noticeable when sleeping). I believe most guests do not have this experience, as the issue likely affects few rooms on the lower floors. However, when choosing this property, one must ask the question, how does the receptionist decide who receives these rooms which experience high dust inflow and high noise pollution (I have videos and photos available upon request). Why are some customers placed in quality rooms, and others assigned to substandard rooms (noting the hotel has standard room types based on bed requirements)? Why did this hotel property assume that one of their few afro-descendent customers would accept the worst room in the property? • Deplorable Managerial Level Customer Service: Upon checkout, a customer service representative noted my dissatisfaction with my hotel experience, and asked if I would be willing to receive inquires from hotel management the next business day. I did not have confidence in their customer service bu

Outstanding
GGuest UserThe most charming boutique hotel in the heart of Pelourinho! Both the room and bathroom were beautiful and spacious, with a mini fridge, safe (although ours was broken) and large cupboard. The rooms are named after Portuguese explorers rather than the more common room numbers, which was very fitting for the colonial style interiors of the hotel. Staff were so welcoming and very friendly. Breakfast is served at your table - tick sheet menu - and includes various cereals, drinks, bread, cakes as well as Bahian specialties. There is a small plunge pool, which we didn’t get a chance to use. We couldn’t have asked for a better location; we were able to walk through the historic centre, with both the funicular and elevator serving the lower city close by. Lots of eateries and fantastic musical entertainment right outside the hotel - music stops around 10-10.30pm. It is a short walk across the cobblestones to the main Pelourinho square, which pays homage to Michael Jackson who shot a music video there. A (steepish) walk past the church takes you to the rainbow street of San Antonio, with plenty more restaurant/bar options. Would absolutely stay here again. Highly recommended!
Loved this place! Great breakfast spread in the morning. Very nice pool and right across from the beach. Nice rooms with comfy bed and strong shower. Great staff with English spoken. This place exceeded my expectations by a lot. Loved Salvador in general.
Cclaumar37370The hotel has a beach outlet, is very wide, with beautiful spaces, such as the pad and the gardens. The environment is wonderful, from the pool you see the blue sea (a little brave sea!!). The hotel is very comfortable and comfortable and is very comfortable. The room is quite simple and it would be good to re-model it, but the truth that you spend a little time in the room and that was not important for us. The attention is good and the capirinha excellent!! We would certainly return.
GGuest UserThe Aquarena Hotel is a well-being hotel in a well-being area, it is in front of a street and so the noise of cars may be uncomfortable. check in was delayed and confused, had already paid 50% and yet I was charged again, the proof must be sent back to healing that pend which should be in a hotel system. In addition, some rooms have no fridge, but the hotel sells water and refrigerator at the reception, the detail is for payment, it must be immediately not possible to place on the room account, or you have to pay immediately or not take it. The hotel is easy to reach, it is close to the New Source, the GPS has no problem to find. The room is very small, the bathroom idem, a bigger person would pass quite tight. The breakfast is very modest, the strong point is on the hand of the time-made tapioca. In addition, the hotel has a good cost benefit but is not one of the best.
GGuest UserMy family and I stayed at the Wish with interconnecting rooms in August 2022. This worked really well for us. Lobby area is large and airy with lovely decor. Pool area looked really nice but was not warm enough for us to use. The gym was modern with plenty of choice in equipment. Had some lovely evenings at the bar drinking cocktails made by Mauro. We were allocated rooms on level 11 so we had the perfect view over the city. Just wish the windows had been cleaned. Our view was a little cloudy! On one occasion we had music outside the park for us to listen to! Plus we watched some lads playing soccer. Room sizes were good. Beds were supercosy with good selection of pillows. The decor was a little tired and could do with freshening up. There was a musty damp scent in the room on arrival which we resolved by opening the window. This must be due to the climate where its warm and wet in Winter. Breakfast was lovely each morning with lots of choice. Just wish they had some plant based alternatives. E.g soya milk, margarine etc. Outside the Wish hotel is a park which a huge monument and fountain, if you wish to take a morning stroll/jog. There are council exercise machines next to the childrens playground. We were fortunate to see Capoeira training going on. Other than that there is nothing else. A short cab ride away will take you to Bahia shopping mall - Really good food court on ground floor here - Oriental, Italian and Brazilian. Plus a good place to do a money exchange. Cash is king here guys! The tourist spots like praca da sa, Pelourinho, Rio Vermelho etc are 1.5 miles away. Hotel taxis accept card payments. Which is really convenient. Be prepared to hold on to dear life when taking a random taxi from the street. Some drive like lunatics. Our taxi from airport to hotel was like this. Maybe its worth booking a hotel transfer with Wish. Overall if I could afford the Fasano I would stay there for the luxury plus location,but if you require something more easy on the pocket and away from the madness of the tourist areas, I would choose Wish de Bahia. Many thanks for a wonderful first stay in Salvador. X
GGuest UserPros:
* spacious clean room
* good breakfast opening at 6:30am sharp (doors are locked before then), with lactose-free milk and gluten-free options
* okay pool area (no greenery though)
Cons:
* the A/C was weak, but after running it for one day the room was sufficiently cool (you do need a card in the slot during that day...)
* no ”Do not disturb” sign to hang onto the doorknob
* the desk in the room was small and very annoying for laptop work (round, glass)
* the chairs in the room were not comfortable at all
* out of all the staff, only one front desk person spoke English
* no laundry facilities
* no business room
* old slow elevator
* window didn't insulate from the street noise that well, but I used 33 dB NRR earplugs to block the noise that came through; there are also many rooms that don't face the street
* the front gate didn't open automatically with my key; had to wait for staff to open it; other times it was left open

We come from Germany and this hotel was recommended to me in advance by friends. And it is really great! We also recommend it very much! The quiet location directly on the beautiful beach is paradise! The owner welcomed us very warmly and always took time for a nice chat with us and had helpful travel tips. The service is great, the staff very friendly and the food excellent! The incredibly varied breakfast is prepared with love and offers every day different delicious highlights. The hotel is the perfect place to relax by the pool or sea and really enjoy yourself! We will definitely like to come back!
We arrived tired from our journey but I have to say that the staff has been very considerate toward us and made every arrangement possible for us to have somewhere to say and relax until our room was ready. They even managed to get our room ready earlier. Breakfast was good and with a great variety The building is very old and sometimes seems not cleaned. There is a lot of moisture and the rooms could use some renovation. The mattress and way the bed was done was far below our expectations as well (photo below) We were highly disappointed to find our the sauna was closed. I had bother calling the hotel the day before to ask them before booking. I was assured on the phone that it was working when in fact, it was not.
GGuest UserThe hotel has several negative aspects, given the privileged location: the receptionist has taken on our closed face; on the hostel site (Decolar) it was found that the parking was free, but when we arrived there, They said we should pay 20,00 more; I asked for an electric iron and the receptionist spoke (with a sticked face) that he had only 1 and was busy; he had a dead cheap in the corridor where our room was; the breakfast juice was artificial; instead of margarine butter!
