Very convenient location but the restaurant next to the hotel is certainly not up to the standard expected. Fortunately the hotel is near to the Centre of Salisbury and you can easily find a good restaurant for dinner there

A very convenient location, lots of parking, Wi-Fi, friendly and helpful staff, a quiet hotel and a good night's sleep. No lift but with only 2 storeys and gentle stairs that isn't a problem. Restaurant on site for hotel guests if you want breakfast and/or dinner.

I stay in many premier inns due to work and I know the quality can vary however this one is in desperate need of some serious TLC. As a family we cannot book into premier plus rooms so this review relates to a standard room. Check in was bumpy as the computer wouldn't accept my booking however there were staff available to sort this albeit lacking in friendly customer service. The other 2 times we needed staff there was no one available and no response from ringing the bell. We had an email to say the pub was under going refurbishment but it's the rooms that need some urgent attention. Ours had damaged furniture, stained walls, flaking paint and a well washed but unnecessary stain visible on the duvet cover. It was noisy with other guests smoking and talking loudly between the 2 blocks. The amount of smoke also meant the reception area in the back block always had smoke in the air. We won't be back until it's had a much needed face-lift.

This is the worst premier inn we have ever stayed in. We had originally booked South Milford in Salisbury but had a phone call the day before travelling to say that apparently, there had been a flood in the room we were due to stay in and we had no choice but to transfer to bishopdown which was extremely annoying as we had chosen the other hotel for location. On arrival the two young reception staff were sitting outside on the kerb talking and made no attempt to man the reception hence we, and others were kept waiting. Check in was unfriendly and unwelcoming. The hotel is very run down and in need of refurbishment. We were offered no upgrade nor compensation for the inconvenience of having to transfer. A very broken nights sleep due to other noisy guests at 2am right through to 4am. Premier inn apparently guarantee a good night so we waited in reception the following morning to complain. There were no staff available. Avoid this hotel at all costs.

The rooms were dirty, mould on the ceiling, dirt up their bathroom door cobwebs that had been there for weeks, make up on one of my pillows. I’ve uploaded some pictures to show the mould etc. we didn’t choose to eat there obviously so cannot comment on the food. Needless to say we will not be staying there again

- Rude, miserable short reception staff who took payment without authorization (meaning the credit card used for booking was charged for ALL rooms!). * 45 mins to refund to the correct credit card. - No mention about entering car details in the 'enter you registration' computer at reception (which was only noticed on check-out). - Beer was disgusting due to dirty pipes. _ Last orders at 21:30hrs (whilst attempting to professionally host). - Walls plastered and seemingly left without redecorating. Genuinely not one for writing bad reviews and very easily pleased - but this hotel is an absolute shocker. I will not be staying at a Premier Inn again.

The worst Premier Inn we have ever stayed in. Apparently they are refurbishing and I think they should close the place and reopen when ready rather than attempting to keep it open as it was such a shambles. There was barely any staff around and those that were there were having to spread themselves between the hotel and restaurant. Take your own food if you are going there and don't fancy going out, as there is very little choice on the menu and you might find, as we did, that the kitchen closes at 8pm!
