Sleep Inn - Salisbury I-85

Chose this hotel due to its proximity to the local VA Hospital since I had an early morning appointment. Had reserved a King handicapped room online but it was not available at check in. Person on shift said they only have two king accessible rooms and didn’t understand why we were allowed to book one if none available. Was placed in a Queen accessible room on the first floor in building two. Room was definitely quiet in that you could not hear the interstate, but the noise from the exterior door slamming closed made up for it. I have PTSD and every time the door shut it caused me to startle. Would stay there again for my next trip but will request that the room be away from exterior doors.

Encountered a few concerns here but the service from front desk, Jalisa was fantastic! She was personable, and quick to remedy some of the issues. Upon check in, Jalisa noticed I was slated to be next to a room that had already some noise complaints, she moved me! Ended up in room 115. Second floor, easy access by the stairs. There was a set of washer/dryers next to the room in a little alcove. They were being utilized, be prepared for the noise if you get this room. Another noise factor to this room, it is located next to the highway. Road noise all night long. In the window seal there were grocery bag type material stuffed in the tracks, not sure if that was supposed to minimize the noise or not but I just found it odd. For me, I enjoyed the "white" noise of both, but if you prefer dead silence sleep this room is not for you. The room was not the cleanest, found change under the desk, used q-tip under the sink, also it was not stocked with the usual shampoo/conditioner etc. Jalisa was able to get me stocked up. Bed was comfy, clean and that is main reason for a hotel. Hotel is located behind a shopping center with lots of restaurant options and places to shop etc. A bit off the path of the highway though. You kind of have to search for it. There is also an Enterprise Car Rentals in the parking lot, so not much parking. Lots of rentals took up spaces. Free breakfast was advertised but it was not available upon departure.

Rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. That’s all we were looking for.

Ended up having to leave because it was too noisy and I couldn’t sleep.
