Hampton Inn Salisbury

It was great. The room the front desk stuff all was GREAT. We loved the breakfast buffet.

My room and the common areas were very clean and well-maintained. (Well, except for one of the 2 elevators, which apparently had been out of order for some time.) The room was well-stocked with ample, quality towels and an extra blanket. What really impressed me, however, was that the front desk sent me a text shortly after I checked in asking if everything was ok with my room. And, they sent another text the next day to see how my stay was going and if I needed anything. Both times, when I responded favorably, I quickly received an answering text that was from a real person. I was pleasantly surprised to get that level of service, particularly from a mid-range hotel.

We moved from one retirement cottage into a newer one, so we decided to spend the night before the move in a motel, to make the next morning easier. We chose the Hampton Inn is Salisbury and were glad we did. For the most part, the motel was very clean and looked like it was fairly new. Our room was large, and had 2 chairs in it, just like we like. We could each have a chair for a glass of wine at night and a snack. We were a little worried being in 514 and so close to the elevator, but we never heard it at night or the next morning. Probably the quietest motel we've been in, in a while. Either it was well insaulated or the guests were very quiet, thoughtful people. Breakfast was the usual Hampton fare, but everything was fresh and the hot food was actually hot. Plenty of seats, but then I was up earlier than usual. Staff was all very pleasant. Thanks Hampton- you helped to make our move more pleasant.

Great service, easy check in, good size room. I think it's an older hotel that's been refreshed. Overall, very good. Only knock was the bed was creaky and the AC unit was loud and not very precise.. Otherwise, the breakfast and coffee were good and appreciated, the room was nice and dark.

The hotel needs a major overhaul and is outdated. The guy who checked me in was not rude but did not tell me about breakfast, parking the pool, or anything so I asked. ok still doable but then I found a dead roach in my room. He quickly moved me but no mention of a discount. My new room has dirt and hair on the bathroom floor, obviously seen as soon as I walked in. Ugh!!

I was in a handicapped room that was really excellent except one little problem the toilet was not handicapped. If I had been in a wheelchair could not have used the toilet without a major problem. Also, please get new bed skirt the ones in this room were torn and ragged. The staff was excellent from check-in to check-out and breakfast group. I would recommend this hotel and would stay again.

Do not stay here if you are bringing anything of value. I came in for a brief 3 night stay. I brought a purse sized lancome idole perfume and left it on the bathroom vanity along with my other toiletries for getting ready in the morning. We were there one night (Friday), left in the morning by 9am for breakfast and an event. Came back by noon after the cleaning service came through and poof the perfume was gone while everything else surrounding it was still in place. We checked everywhere and everything, it was clearly taken. Nor was it accidentally broken because that perfume smell would last in that room for 4 days. I reported it immediately to the front desk and they said the manager wasn't on duty so they would contact me the next day. Shocker, they never did. So Sunday rolls around and as I'm checking out I ask for a manager again. This time there was one on duty but of course she's not the one over the maid crew. So they said they would contact me today. Nearly 6pm still no call and the managers get off at 4pm. They don't care about theft or your belongings so I would strongly suggest finding another hotel or air BNB. If they're that hard up to steal perfume, they'll definitely steal more valuable items from you. Learn from my misfortune and don't stay here.

This is the second time I’ve stayed at this hotel, and each time the rooms were extremely clean and well-maintained. The beds are extremely comfortable. Coffee is offered 24 hours a day. Breakfast selections were plentiful and they have a nice size exercise room. Microwave and small refrigerators are in each room. Hotel style coffee pot in the room.

Stayed at Hampton Inn Salisbury for two nights in September for a Softball Tournament. Some pros and cons! Pros: room was clean, bed was comfortable. Standard Hampton Inn room and decor. Great restaurant next door called JoJo’s Family Restaurant. Parking was plentiful. Seemed like a nice area. Cons: front desk young lady didn’t follow up as promised when I asked about early check in, even through when I called a few days earlier was told shouldn’t be a problem. We stayed one night and checked out next day around 3:15pm! Didn’t mind paying for two nights , but because of how they charge your credit card they put $1402 on my card and said oh it will all drop of except $601 within 3-5 days. Crazy! Even though it did correct I didn’t like the way they handled. I’m a Hilton Honor Member which doesn’t seem to matter anymore.
