A last minute weekend getaway trip requested by my wife. So, upon some searching, I picked this hotel. Why? It's because I trusted the name "Howard Johnson" and the price per night for a non-smoking King was just $88. Also, their check-in time is after 2pm instead of 3pm. We checked in around 2:40pm on a Saturday. The check-in process was as usual. However, when I entered the room, there were several things I've noticed: - there's flies flying around - the room was not cleaned very well - hair in the bathtub - internet was extremely not reliable, in fact, it connected but had no internet most of the time We stayed for 2 nights. So, the next morning after the shower, we put the towels on the bathroom floor for them to be replaced. When we returned at night, nothing was done. Garbage bins were still full. Used towels were still on the floor. So, I called the front desk and told them house keeping did not come to service the room. The young lady asked me did I request our room to be serviced when we checked in. I said no. She said, "Well, you need to tell the front desk you want your room to be serviced." I said, "If your policy requires us to let the front desk know we need our room serviced, the front desk lady should have told us that when we checked in. SHE DID NOT." The lady then asked how many towels we needed and that we had to go down to the front desk to get them. That's fine with me and I went down to get the towels. When she saw me, she did not apologize that I had to go through all that trouble to have clean towels for the night. All in all, other than the check-in time, there's not much good things to say about this hotel.
