What a wonderful place. We stayed in Melody's Mooring and the room was very spacious and bright with an incredible bath room and another half bath. The grounds are immaculate and there is lots of fun reading material. Our breakfast was delicious and the inn keeper very kind. We would stay there again in a heart beat!

We stayed there to be able to get to Glynco for a graduation and also hit the beach at St. Simons. The B&B was so quaint and eclectic. It had a warm feeling to it and Diane made the place feel really warm and friendly. Our room was clean and felt like someone's bedroom. The entire Inn was super quiet and peaceful. The breakfast was served daily, and you had a selection that allowed you to choose each day. Once you made your selection, Diane knew what you wanted and pretty much how you liked it. She was great and very personable. The best thing about it was the relaxed and unrushed feeling especially at check-out. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again.

Very quaint Inn, great beds and a killer bathroom, nice ambiance and a superb breakfast presented by Miss Debi . It is a must go if you are in the area. Highly recommend this place. And while you are in town go to the Del Sur for a very nice dinner. Easy to find and plenty of parking.

Our stay was delightful. We spent a week with our family here in a rented home. We decided to stay an extra night. Debbie was very accommodating. I called to ask if we could drop our luggage off early. She said that we could check in early as the room was ready. We did so our room was gorgeous with two queen beds and a sitting room and 2 1/2 bath with a huge Jacuzzi. The shower was wonderful. There is an entrance to a balcony from every room. It’s a beautiful property. We sat outside for about an hour on Saturday evening. There’s a pond with an aerator a beautiful walkway around the pond. The landscaping is gorgeous. We sat in the swing and just had a great time. Breakfast was very good and 9:00 suited us just fine. I grew up here and hadn’t been back in eight years. unfortunately it’s been discovered and has lost a lot of its charm but The Grey Owl Inn is a jewel on this beautiful island. The best time to visit used to be September after Labor Day as the crowds are gone.

We stayed in the Tree Tops room - and it was wonderful. Super comfy bed, fluffy pillows, and good reading lights. The bath is billed as luxurious, and it really is - separate shower with six shower heads, great tub, double sinks, up-scale shampoos and conditioners. Deb, the manager, was very sweet and accommodating. Breakfast was a treat, too. You'll enjoy this place!

We had a wonderful experience at The Grey Owl last weekend. We were on St. Simons for a wedding and stayed Friday and Saturday nights. Debi, the resident manager, is so friendly and accommodating. She even worked around the time change for our breakfast on Sunday morning! Check in and out is easy and quick and the inn doors are operated with a pin pad and code. We had a key to our room but didn’t use it because the inn stays locked at all times. The Grey Owl was originally a private home. The decor is beautiful and a little quirky with a screen porch and outdoor deck upstairs and beautiful grounds with boardwalk, pond and fountain. It’s a short, flat walk to the beach along a marshland for bird watching. The room we had was Owl’s Roost at the front of the building. Even though we were closest to the road, it was dark and quiet at night. Our bed was comfortable with plenty of pillows. The bathroom is small but efficient with major water pressure! All tiled in marble. The small bar area serves as a pass thru to the next room if renting both. It has a small fridge, sink and coffee maker will all of the makings. The common rooms are very pretty and homey (one of which is devoted to the royal family with pictures, books and magazines to peruse). The breakfast room is sunny and bright and looks out to the garden. We had 5 or 6 choices for breakfast (order the day before online or at breakfast for the next day). I had an omelet one day and pecan waffle the next with yummy bacon. Hubby had Eggs Benedict and strawberry crepes. Plenty of sides/fruit/yogurt to choose from. We will definitely stay at The Grey Owl the next time we are on St. Simon’s Island.

My husband and I stayed one night in the Palm Court room and it was a wonderful experience! Debi was our host and was very friendly and helpful. The room was lovely and the grounds were absolutely beautiful! Our breakfast was delicious as well. The location was perfect - it was close to shopping, restaurants and museums. We would definitely stay there again!

This is a small bed and breakfast in a great location. The breakfast is large and very good and the dining area overlooks a lovely backyard with a fountain. Within a five minute walk, you are walking along the marsh toward the old Coast Guard Station (where there is a fabulous WWII exhibit on the battle for control of the Atlantic shipping lines); in another direction, you are a 15 minute walk to the beach (down Demere and left on Arnold to the public entrance near the King and Prince) or to the pier village (down Demere and right on Mallory); or, coming out of the Inn and turning toward the airport, 10 minutes from a great coffee shop called Wake Coffee (maybe, I found it unexpectedly, it was great, and I think that was the name). Obviously, I like to walk in the early morning, but even if you don't this is well located. There was one other couple staying at the inn while we were there, but we saw them only at breakfast, and otherwise we had the whole house to ourselves. When we returned from dinner (so many good restaurants on the island) we enjoyed the option to sit in the parlor area to enjoy a glass of wine and watch that tv. It was a very relaxing trip.
