I had one of the "confort" (comfort) rooms. IIRC, there are four categories of room and this middling category, plus the plushest category, were available, so I went for "confort." I would like to alert people to an issue with my room. It has two cabinets that protrude about a foot (30 cm) from the wall. These cabinets are made of wood and have sharp corners. One of the two cabinets was above the place to lay out the suitcase. Three times I banged my head right on the corner edge while standing up after getting an item for my suitcase. Impact #3 was especially painful; it bled (so did the other two) and caused swelling. I wore a bandage over the wound during the via ferrata the next day. If you are in a "confort" room and see those protruding cabinets, be careful about any sudden movements. Really, the corners should be beveled, padded, or somehow made safe. Also, I found trash (multiple candy wrappers) in one of the drawers, and the air conditioning unit is obscured by the window curtain, so if you want a/c to work properly you will have to leave the curtain partly open, including at night, which I did. Finally, at breakfast the staff brought "hot" tea with water at room temperature, so of course the teabag did not steep. I mentioned this and was brought a replacement with hot water. The swimming pool was pleasant and the staff were nice. However, no one came to clean my room on the second day. To be sure, I did not put out a "make up my room" tag on the door, and perhaps that was required in order to have a cleanup. Despite these comments, I recommend the Hôtel Roquemont. I would stay there again. The via ferrata was fantastic and mountain bike rentals are available right on the premises. The mountain bikes are of high quality and worth the charge for them.
