The room was clean. Wi-Fi worked well. No shampoo or conditioner provided. 7-8 minutes walk from the town center and bus stop. The staff were friendly.

My Husband and I spent four nights (17th/21st October) at this delightful, well run and immaculately clean hotel that has some amazing views of St Peter Port and the harbour. From the moment we arrived until we said our final farewell, the staff were always helpful, caring, friendly and professional and worked tirelessly to do their very best for the guests. We stayed on a Bed & Breakfast basis and were overwhelmed by the excellent quality of the food that was served and the amazing choice of culinary delights that were on the menu each morning. We also enjoyed two evening meals in the Copenhagen Restaurant and both meals exceeded our expectations. I was particularly pleased when the Receptionist mentioned the hotel served a roast dinner on a Sunday evening from 5.30pm to 9.30pm as well as at lunchtime. I enjoyed some delicious well cooked roast beef and yorkshire pudding with roast potatoes and a vegetable medley and my Husband was delighted with the chicken in crab and lobster sauce that he chose from the menu. Both meals were reasonably priced and the quality of the food both at breakfast and dinner was of a very high standard. Our room was kept spotlessly clean and the refreshments restocked every day. The beds were very comfortable and the ensuite bathroom was exceptional. Overall we had a very enjoyable time at the Hotel de Havelet and hope very much to return again in the future. I have no hesitation in awarding this hotel 5 Stars. Highly recommended.

A very pleasant stay, the bedroom was comfortable and the bathroom of a reasonable size. The meals we recieved were of a good quality, I particularly enjoyed breakfast as the hot meals were not supplied buffet style as is the case in many hotels. The whole area of the hotel was clean and in a reasonable state of repair. The Copenhagen bar area was comfortable with a good selection of beverages. The staff are all attentive to our needs and assisted as possible.

A most welcoming hotel run expertly by Italian hosts. The rooms are very clean with some more accessible than others. Best to give them a ring to find out. The spa area with a big indoor pool and good sauna (though a little small) are very clean and the gardens are beautiful with plenty of sun loungers. Take afternoon tea in the garden or on the large terrace. The adjacent restaurant, Wellington, is separate to the hotel, though again most of the Italian staff have worked there for many years. The food is superb. The breakfast of the hotel is taken upstairs in the Wellington Restaurant. You have to climb some very steep and winding stairs which cannot be done by people with any disabilities. Though if you ask the head waiter he may allow you to take breakfast in the downstairs restaurant. Breakfasts are stupendous. The hotel is on a steep hill which makes going into St Peter Port easy, but by gosh, climbing up back to the hotel can be a challenge. Ask the hotel, they may run a shuttle bus a couple of times a day.

I rarely give 5 stars - but the de Havelet team have earned it - THANK YOU. A week's holiday for myself and my wife, perched on the hill overlooking the bay, castle and islands. Tt the quiet end of St Peter Port. We enjoyed walking from the hotel to explore coast, town and restaurants, and only used the buses twice. Tips: if using the airport bus with luggage, alight at the stop "Fort George, Northbound" and walk 10 minutes DOWNHILL along George Rd. To return to the airport, walk 12 minutes downhill from the hotel and depart from Town Terminus, St Peter Port. When walking back from the town, you can walk up the gentle slope of Hauteville, or push on up the short, but steeper slope, of Havelet.

Super hotel, clean, well maintained and conveniently situated. Restaurant is excellent with good choices from a menu that suited us perfectly. Good size servings from breakfast through to evening meal. Well presented by friendly and efficient staff with a Maitre’d that had everything under control. The reference to friendly efficient staff applies to all areas of the establishment from the Manager to anyone we came in contact with.

Returned home on Tuesday from a 6 day break, we had read many excellent reviews for the de Havelet and was not disappointed on our arrival. We decided to upgrade the room and that was well worth it. Large bedroom with excellent on suite (double sink), bed was a good size and WiFi excellent . The staff were extremely attentive and nothing was to much bother. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choices for continental and cooked, service was very good with the waiting staff always close at hand and helpful. Breakfast was taken every day in the Wellington bar on the 1st floor of the building across the courtyard. We had dinner 3 times in the Copenhagen resturant which is on the ground floor in the building across the courtyard. A excellent menu which had many tasty dishes all cooked in a open kitchen which was visible by all the diners. The pool although not large 15mts was excellent which we walked down from our room in our bath robes. In addition to the pool there was also a jacuzzi, steam room & sauna, excellent facilities. The de Havelet hotel is certainly one I would recommend with out a doubt. After all these plentiful meals you could walk down the fairly steep hill to the sea front. During our stay we also had supper in the Thomas De La Rue pub and The Cornerstone pub, both of these had very good food and beer.
