"The hotel is functional and convenient. However, the hygiene in the rooms is questionable: mold on the shower head and ventilation grille is unacceptable. We had to report it to reception upon arrival and again the next day for the items to be cleaned... how can a shower head develop mold when it isn't disinfected after each guest leaves the room?! It's disgusting... As for the staff, the first two receptionists were smiling, helpful, and efficient. However, I had a disappointment on the morning of the second day, probably linked to the pressure put on the teams by management... I indicated on Sunday morning at 9 a.m. sharp that I wanted two breakfasts, I was told that it was not possible even though several receptionists had assured me that there was flexibility the day before and on arrival two days before... the person at breakfast on Sunday morning wanted me to report who had told me that breakfast was available that day as if she was looking for someone to blame for the bad information given. I had just woken up and was very calm, but his tone was accusatory and he was getting a little worked up to show his annoyance with his colleagues. This type of behavior is usually seen when management puts excessive pressure on employees and is looking for someone to blame. I replied that I wasn't interested in denouncing his colleagues, that it wasn't a big deal, and that I would spend my money at a company that guarantees me breakfast in a more peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. It is management's responsibility to remind all staff of the rules and properly train the teams instead of making them feel guilty. The pressure to be productive is too palpable in your establishment, which prevented me from relaxing. As I frequent Caen regularly and have stayed at your establishment less than a year ago, next time I plan to go to the Ace Hotel Memorial, which, for a small additional fee, offers a more peaceful and higher-quality experience."

"Stayed and use Ibis on my tours of France, but this Ibis is tired and in need of a refit.. Staff were very friendly and helpful but my room was on the small side and with no air con sleep took a while to happen !! But I didn't pay a lot so you can't argue too much, used again on return to ferry and as it was cooler, was much better, but didn't change the fact it's tired. Secure car park was a plus."
