We booked with *******, expecting to pay when we arrive. We were contacted by the Inn immediately and had to send over consent forms to process our credit card a week before we arrive. The day we were going to check in we were contacted again and had to text over a photo, holding our driver’s license and another with our credit card. They said it was for there convenience as there is no one at the property after 3. I was driving on the I-5 at this moment, and had plans to arrive just after 3. We had to pull over to do what they asked. The Inn is lovely, the rooms are very nice, but the experience would have been much better if someone was on site. For the price, it would have been nice to have breakfast provided, not just 1 pod of coffee each. Also the room was very hot at night…. again if someone was at the property, we could have asked them to drop the heat. The area is very sketchy. Unfortunately lots of homeless and drug users. Luckily we spoke to someone living on the block. We were walking for dinner and they suggested that we do not walk back after dark. Info like this should have been told to us by someone when we checked in. Unfortunately the whole experience was not pleasant and they should either close because they are scared of Covid or open normally. Really not fair to guests like us.
