In fact, the overall hygiene was good, but halfway through the sleep I found a spider hanging from the ceiling. Friend couldn't stand it and wanted to checkout as a result no one was there at the front desk. I just couldn't find a place to rest after soaking in the hot springs. Hotel location was great, about 5 mins walk to Rye pier. Room was spacious with poolside view. However the bathroom is small with tiny sink, and a opaque glass door that's hard to open or close. Spent one night only, so it wasn't a big deal to us. No lift, luckily we stayed on the ground floor, otherwise, we'd have to carry our big luggage upstairs. We also went to the pub after diving, but they basically serve alcohol drinks and very light food only so we went to another restaurant. P.S. Thirsty Camel bottleshop is just 1 min walk away, easy to buy drinks for the night.

Spent few days with family, one of the biggest rooms I've had (bathroom was ok though). Big and comfortable bed. The restaurant is very good too. Location is fantastic right in front of the beach, next to restaurants, bars and shops. Swimming pool is ok, not massive but good to chill.

Perfect location only a short walk to all amenities, restaurants, shops and the beach. We stayed in the queen room and had the comfort of the pool at our back door. Lovely place and the reception staff were lovely. We’d definitely recommend 10/10.

We had a poolside room. The room was of a good size with a small sitting area outside (ground floor) however it was tucked into a corner and was very dark. The pool was heated and a very pleasant temperature but it's not that big and there is no rail to access it. I found the steps slippy. My greatest concern was that the room and patio area didn't feel very clean. I did raise this with housekeeping who dealt with it on the second day (much better) however when I mentioned it again at checkout there was no apology. Overall I feel the rooms are ready for a refurb. We ate in the hotel restaurant on night. Food was fine but the atmosphere reminiscent of a large chain pub, however all the staff there were very friendly.
