Cbh Ruthin Castle Hotel and Spa ★★★★

"The staff at the hotel were lovely. The hotel itself however is badly in need of some love. Ideally a complete refurb. Rooms and bathrooms are very outdated and worn."

"My friend and I stayed in a twin room and paid over £80 for just a room only. On check in my friend almost got charged again for the booking when she was asked to scan her card. It was only for the bank knowing there was a pending payment already for the transaction it did not allow it to go through. The room was basic and we had to share a bathroom. If you want sleep you won’t get it here as the pub has music going on after 12pm. ( The earplugs on the dressing table was a giveaway) ! All I can I say was thank goodness for Weatherspoons for breakfast. We also found out that Weatherspoons had rooms for less than we paid. If you want a hostel style stay with no breakfast and no sleep this is your place. Also you may want to put a covering up at the shared bathroom window. Not very private if you are showering with the light on. !"

Manorhaus Ruthin - Manorhaus Collection ★★★★★

"Absolutely fantastic stay. The host was very polite and friendly. We ate in the restaurant on the Friday night and the food, drink and service was 10/10. The bedroom was immaculate and had every thing we needed. Lots of nice extras such as a cafetiere with coffee in the room, dressing gowns and toiletries. Perfect location . Will definitely return in the future."
