The motel is located opposite the De Bertoli winery and a 10 minute stroll into the main street of Rutherglen. The motel proprietors were extremely accomodating and pleasant. The attention to detail outside and in the newly refurbished rooms was extraordinary. The bed was absolutely fantastic. Pillow selections were great. The rooms were warm and very quiet.

Stayed here last year for walkabout wine festival and again this year. A lovely place to stay, though with new owners it was even better this year. Jo and Steve have done some upgrades, including solar panels and pumped up the level of cleanliness to sparkling clean, add in comfy beds and good supply of hot water for showers. Jo and Steve are super friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble for them, would highly recommend a stop over if passing through. If your lucky you will get to meet the motels adorable macot Norman.

The new management here have taken such great care to enhance the look and feel of this motel. It’s looking and feeling lovely and fresh. We stayed in the family suite and it was very comfortable to share for two adults. Convenient location walking distance into town. Would highly recommend.

We have been annual visitors to Motel Woongarra for eight or ten years, over Regatta Weekend. We keep coming back because the place is clean and comfortable has reliable hot water, and is good value. This year it has new management who have spruced the place up so that the rooms have a freshness about them. We highly recommend.

Motel Woongarra is very clean and modern. A great place to break a long journey and near the wineries. Staff were friendly. Within easy walking distance of the various cafes and hotels in Rutherglen.
