I used to think Premier Inns were just somwhere to crash for a night; maybe for some they still are, but they're actually much better than that. This one is close to all the amenities of Greenwhich, has a bar/restaurant, and breakfast was great too. Generally quiet, except one hears the TVs of other rooms sometimes. Our room, I think, had a poorly fitting window, so noisier than on our previous stays. (Which I'd have rated 5*) I think this was our third or fourth stay. I'm not sure the heating control was working in our room, though it was just about warm enough, and although breakfast is nice, the chairs were covered in stains, which looked, frankly, revolting, so the place is not up to its previous standard, hence 4* today. The bottom sheet didn't fit on the bed- it was two singles pushed together. No jam at breakfast! Only marmalade. I wonder if the negative things were just a sort of post-christmas malaise? Staff, as always, lovely and helpful. On the positive side, at night you can park nearby for free, though you have to be away by 0900. Will I stay again? Of course. I like Premier Inn and everyone is allowed on off day, surely?
