Due to an injury, we wanted to cancel our accommodation over two weeks before our trip. The host reacted very unfriendly and did not try to find a good solution for both parties. We then decided to go there after all because we did not want to give up on our trip. Unfortunately, we could not borrow a car and so had to walk the whole way from the train station to Villa Virpi (with a 25kg suitcase and snow and ice on the road!!). When we arrived, the host greeted us rather surprised (my boyfriend had written explicitly that we would come after all). There were stains and hair on the bedspread in our room. There was also hair and dust and other dirt in the wardrobe (the mirror had not been cleaned for ages). There was still water in the kettle (from guests before?). In order to open the door to our room, I had to press against it with my full weight. There was only a small padlock (from the outside) and a door chain from the inside (you could also open it from the outside, so it was not safe!!). When we arrived and until the next day, there was a garbage bag on the floor of the toilet. The bathroom was generally very dirty (see photos) and the shower was very rusty and didn't look clean either. The refrigerator in our room was extremely loud (especially annoying at night) and also very dirty (see photos). There were no Covid-19 safety measures and no hand sanitizer. The host only speaks very broken English. The shared kitchen was well equipped, however.
