A bit different from the usual modern box hotels. It was really was a monastery, but the reconstruction as a hotel and restaurant is a touch kitsch and Disneyesque. For example, the waiters are dressed as monks. Our room was small and cell-like, but comfortable. Location is a bit odd, surrounded by supermarkets, petrol stations and a Momax superstore.

Atypical. That's the first word that comes to mind when thinking about the experience at this hotel. The decoration has a hacienda/middle ages theme. It's fun because it's well thought out. On the other hand, I didn't really understand the corridors which were rather Greek with this light and the white paint. The Italian restaurant also stands out. The atypical in the atypical we will say. In terms of service, breakfast is standard. The bed is not bad. The functional bathroom (apart from the toilet flush buttons covered by its bezel...). Wifi works very well. Decent price. And parking available on site. On the other hand, you should know. Our room had several windows, one in a corner and... no curtain! In summer it gets light quickly. The room overlooked the street and in the evening with the car wash not far away it makes noise. The hotel is located 20 minutes from the city center, but very close to the city limits. Walk in the countryside possible. For a one-night stopover like us, it's fine. But I probably wouldn't do more (at the same time I don't think that's the target)

We had booked the budget room and didn‘t see the note that is was close to the reception (which it literally is). You could hear every word through the door and every suitcase being pulled over the floor. Asked for a different room but would have had to pay much more. Then decided to leave around 10pm. Fortunately we got all our money back. Also the reception woman was really friendly and professional. Personally though we can‘t recommend it.

The place is atypical and very pretty, whether the rooms or the corridors. Well appointed, clean rooms. Very good restaurant, with a very good 4-course menu, which allows you to taste several starters, several small desserts. I really recommend the restaurant! Only downside: no air conditioning in the rooms. We were really hot at night.

I was on the Inn Cycle Path near Rosenheim with a friend and we googled for accommodation for the night. We weren't thinking about a 4-star hotel at all, but the Hotel San Gabrielle made us curious and the price was OK, so we booked it, cycled there (busy route) and discovered the former monastery and now Hotel San Gabriele in a quiet side street. It looked medieval both inside and out and everything was stylishly furnished with heavy solid wood. Our rustic room was also great, while the bathroom was very imaginatively equipped with exceptional sanitary facilities and everything you could need! After a good night's sleep and a very good breakfast in the morning, we got our bikes out of the bike shed (belongs to the hotel) and cycled on with a smile. It should be mentioned that there is currently a construction site next to the hotel, the hotel is being expanded, but it is quiet in the evenings!

Cozy hotel, some rooms with waterbeds, four-poster beds and a small whirlpool. The breakfast is also very good. Definitely recommended as a cozy hotel for couples. The rooms and the whole hotel give an impression of the Middle Ages, even though it was newly built.

Great hotel in Rosenheim, just outside the center. Beautifully located with a friendly, family atmosphere. The service is excellent. The restaurant leaves nothing to be desired in terms of both ambience and food. We will definitely be back.
