The host is very nice, and the facilities are not bad at this price The transportation is also very convenient, just a few minutes by bus at Romford station The only downside is that it is a bit close to the roadside, and there may be some wheel noise at night

Firstly I must state this is a budget room The Hotel infrastructure was clean and warm. The Parking was good Very convenient location. My room (no 7) was awful you can only stand up in the 3 feet between the roof arches. The bed is under an arch with no head clearance. No proper wardrobe It's advertised as en-suit... it's not it has a separate private bathroom next door. I banged my head many times on the low ceiling The door to the room only closed when locked. The shower was broken. The shower door could not fully open as the sink stopped it. Less the 3-foot clearance from the shower door to the sink. No hot water in the sink. No sink plug guard. Only one worn-out towel with another Hotels name on it. The floor was filthy The bedding was old and did not smell fresh. White stains on the bottom sheet. As stated this room is miss-sold and not fit for purpose and should not be let.

The 'room' I stayed in wasn't exactly a room, it was more of a cupboard under the stairs and if you don't believe me, then please book here and ask for room 7. The single bed is under a slope of the stairs as well is the small table and fridge. The only full upright standing you can do in the room is directly in the middle however this is still a very small space with a low ceiling. There were bedside drawers beside the bed with used and disgusting ear buds that clearly was too much for the cleaners to dispose of along with a bible - I suppose that was handy as I used that praying for this hotel to be written off. Overall the room for me shouldn't be allowed to used as rented space so it baffles me, who approves this. The hotel itself was fairly clean and the guy at check in was polite. Would I stay here again? No probably not I think next time I'll sleep in Primark's doorway.

Family stayed for one night and it was disgusting. The shower tray was filthy. Blood on wall and cracked window. When they complained was asked what they expected. The only thing that was clean was the bedding. Would not recommend to my worst enemy!

We came down from Oldham to see friends and later decided to visit Hornchurch Theatre. After the show, we found this hotel online and booked it over the phone. On arrival, the main door was locked. After ringing and knocking for more than 5-7 minutes, we called the number we had booked. A guy in a t-shirt opened the door; he looked stoned. The room cost us £79.00, but he would not take card payments, the card machine was not working. He could have informed me when we booked the room. We had to go out in the rain; drove around for ages to find an ATM to withdraw the cash. The room was dirty and smelly. It seemed as if the pillows and bed cover were not changed after the last guests left. I couldn’t sleep at all, and above all, I had to listen to my wife’s constant nagging the whole night. I called the hotel on the following day and requested a refund. Basically, I was told to get F——off!!

Havering Rd Guest House is no thrills clean basic accomodation within commuatable distance of London. On arrival we parked on the on site car park which is free which is always a bonus on the outskirts of London. We recieved a lovely welcome from the owners who where very friendly and shown to our room, it was clean and very basic but as we where heading out and about it was perfect for us to lay our heads for a few hours. Bed was comfortable, Fridge, kettle and toaster where provided and complimentary tea coffee sugar and milk. Bathroom again basic but shower was lovely and always had warm water and towels. All in all if you are looking for a luxury stay this place is not for you, but if you want budget clean accommodation within reach of London with on site parking this place is definitely worth considering.

It has only just been brought to my attention that my review was not uploaded. I do not complain about my stays, there are always positive things to say about every review I write.... accept this one. Before a negative post I tried to contact the property, no answer, am actually taking my business to the complaints team. No contact information provided worked for them, x2 telephone numbers and and email address, all wouldn’t allow. We had nowhere to turn since they’d turnt off the emergency contact number. We checked in and had to continue about our work, returned and upon inspection was the WORST state we have EVER experienced. Luckily messages can’t carry smells! We have very very low standards but since having to provide extra details to prove our key worker status we are NOT happy. It was literally so awful I slept in my vehicle! There are bugs behind the fridge, hairs in the double bed... that bed hadn’t been changed, the tv is dusty (gone to pull it out from the wall and covered in dust), there is a bag of rubbish in the wardrobes as I’ve gone looking for a hair dryer and a TERRIBLE stench we found upon first arrival. After inspection on our second and final visit, it was the kettle! Went for a cup of tea, the kettle wouldn’t boil so inspected it to find thick green mould and a terrible stench coming from inside it. Looked as though someone had cooked in it (some weeks ago) and it hasn’t been cleaned. I’m sorry but I wouldnt stay in a place like this for free! Very upset as this was our ‘life saver’ ended up staying in my car! This place is NOT covid nor human safe! Again, I like businesses to have their chance to redeem themselves and support them any which way I can, but this was SHOCKING, especially during a pandemic. People were smoking in the room, ash and fag butts all over the window sills, on check in one of us mentioned the smell of smoke, the guy shrugged and apologised that the previous people had been smoking. My review was dismissed on several occasions on the *********** website, giving me the impression that they pick and choose what reviews they upload.
