Bathroom floor flooded after first shower. Water coming from under the bath panel Sealant around bath in very poor condition and mould around edges Reception informed and said they would sort and we were offered and saw another room but quite honestly bathroom didn't look any better so we decided to stay put. No hot water when attempting to have bath late afternoon, informed reception and they said they would alter the timings! The bed was hard, bottom sheet didn't fit properly and no covering underneath so mattress on show, also top sheet had a hole in it, You could clearly hear guests in adjacent rooms using the toilet, not just the flushing! The breakfast room was dirty and uninviting. Only one member of staff clearing tables, in the kitchen, making the coffee- which was not good. The breakfast was poor, tinned peaches , apples large and tasteless, cheap yogurt. Croissants were good though. Market stall within yards with fresh fruit! The table cloth was stained from previous use The cushioned seats were very badly stained and the floor not clean. Front of house not particularly friendly although did assist with taxi company. General state of repair and cleanliness was poor

Breakfast is not suitable for the Chinese, all cold meals, all eggs and sausages are cold. There is no extra charge for bringing children, and there is breakfast (it's really unpalatable, it's full), the booked room has a bathtub, only one of the 2 rooms actually stayed, the other one we lived in was obviously too small and didn't have a bathtub. The room type was not the one you planned. Called the front desk and said no other rooms could be changed. The air-conditioning effect in the room was not good. I called the front desk and said they monitored the room at 25 degrees, but we could only wear a sweater in the room. It was obviously not as warm as my friend's room, and the attitude was really average. The boiled water in Italy is as turbid as malted milk. I bought it from the supermarket and brought it to my own pot. It was flocculent for a while and it was scary. The location of the hotel is good, it is very close to attractions or shopping, but it is not easy to find, in a very narrow alley.

the location is great-close to things like pantheon (less than 10 min walk), subway station, lots restaurants but hidden and quiet service is wonderful! shout out to Mario and Francesca for making the best recommendations and helped to book tickets

The room is not new, but it is fully functional. Our family of three gave us a small suite with two bathrooms. Surprise! It is very close to the wishing fountain, and there is a subway for easy travel. The service at the front desk was very good. They gave me a map of Rome's attractions, etc., and also introduced me how to get to the Vatican.

Pros: Breakfast buffet was the best hotel buffet I’ve ever had. Beds and pillows were super comfortable and everyone slept well. The windows blocked all the street noise and it was possible to make the room totally dark. As we had two teenagers with us, we appreciated the larger room with three beds so they didn’t have to share. The roof deck was wonderful, I was worried it wouldn’t be open in winter. It wasn’t utilized much but was still available and a great way to feel like you are in Rome even when too jet lagged and tired to walk around anymore. The only drawback to the hotel was the lack of a common area. When one of us was ready to sleep but someone else wanted to stay up, there wasn’t anywhere to go other than the roof deck which was chilly at night. The breakfast room was closed off most of the day and the hours when it was open in the evening differed from what was written. Probably because it was offseason. Staff were mostly friendly but at times made us feel like we were imposing or in the way.

The room was small but clean and the bathroom was quite big. There are many attractions nearby and we are all walking. There are not many types of breakfast, basically bread, but there are a lot of sauces, and it is delicious with bread. The favorite is the juice of the restaurant, which is great! Yogurt and coffee are not bad. Every time we leave the restaurant, we will take an apple or yogurt, the waiter will laugh and say goodbye, very warm!

Hotel location is very good, just looking for a half-day at the intersection of an n-shaped! I am in the main building, the hotel service is also very good, the room is big in Europe, clean and safe! Nearby are the attractions, as well as the Renaissance department store, even if you are shopping late, don't worry about safety!

Stop searching for hotels and book this one immediately! The location alone is enough for me to go back. On top of that the building/rooms are beautiful and the staff are fantastic, nothing is too much trouble for them and they are so friendly. I went with my two children and everyone working there were brilliant with them. I am 100% going back and staying at the Hotel Fontana again.

The hotel is located more than centrally, walking to almost all destinations in Rome The hotel is undergoing renovation work, but it is well set up and does not bother you. The hallways are unfinished and the rooms fit perfectly. They are quite small rooms. Ideal to sleep, shower, watch TV for a few minutes and rest. The breakfast area is correct, in my opinion it is consistent with a 3 star, there is a lot of staff and many places to have breakfast. This area has many nooks and crannies to a board game area.
