Excellent value for an enjoyable stay.
I enjoyed my stay at Piccolotel - I had some work in Ostiense, a short bus trip or a 25 minute walk, past the fascinating Basilica of Saint Paul. The room is clean and a good size; there is access to a kitchen (which is stocked up for an Italian breakfast). The transport links are very good - I could get to the Trastevere area on the number 8 tram in about 20 minutes. There is a good place for a cold beer and burger on Via Enrico Fermi and other cafes nearby.

Nell'hotel, situato in zona trastevere a ca 10 min a piedi dal famoso mercato di porta Portese. Hotel piccolo con una zona comune, che poi è anche la zona colazione, sempre rifornita di alimenti di prima necessità e non solo. Prima dell'arrivo il gentilissimo titolare invia dei video x spiegarti il funzionamento dell'apertura camera fino al Semplice utilizzo della macchinetta del caffè. Le stanze vanno tutte in domotica, quindi aperture a distanza e chiavi maghetiche. Roma per quanto riguarda gli hotel è cara, quindi queste alternative come appunto il b&b piccolotel sono ottime. Noi ci siamo imbattuti in un weekend di scioperi del servizio Atac, x cui non abbiamo un bel ricordo del servizio pullman, ma nella normalità delle cose, l'hotel ha una fermata proprio davanti che con i pullman appropriati puoi recarti dappertutto.

Ottimo alloggio, è la terza volta che vengo a Roma per lavoro (sono una ragazza e vengo da sola) e non avevo mai trovato un posto più comodo di questo: Bagno privato, piccolo frigorifero, letto comodissimo, super pulito, TV in camera, la cosa più bella è “zona comune” che in realtà è una zona colazione dove trovi caffè, the caldo, e dolcetti, cereali, latte (anche latte vegetale) per la colazione ♥️ Ho trovato questo alloggio per caso dopo che sono rimasta senza airbnb nella stessa zona, ho contattato il host e è stato super gentile e disponibile♥️ la ringrazio tantissimo ♥️

We stayed at Piccolotel for about one week, it was a really great experience. Alex, the Manager, was always reachable via Phone when we had any questions. Piccolotel is also equipped with a basic breakfast. It gets filled up every day with new snacks. On each table there is also a map, where Alex marked some good places to eat cheap and the best routes to reach some attractions in Roma, it really helped us. There is also a supermarket right around the streets, so you can buy more for breakfast there if you want to. We had a problem with our Wi-Fi, it wasn't working. We wrote Alex a message about that and just 20 minutes later the Wi-Fi Problem was resolved. That is just one example of how customer friendly he is. Piccolotel is also pretty good located within the tourist attraction. For example, you can reach the Colosseum/Foro Romano by foot in about 50 minutes. The Vatican City is reachable via train in about 10 minutes. You can also get to the Colosseum by Bus, you can buy cheap Bus tickets at the Tabacchi, which is right next to Piccolotel. Towels get changed every 3 days, room cleaning costs extra (we didn't need it, but its not expensive). Piccolotel is a great stay to explore Roma and its historic sites. If I would come to Roma again, I would definitely choose Piccolotel! Always clean, extremely customer friendly and also good for your wallet. We just have one suggestion, how about some multilingual TV-channels? We searched for some German TV-channels, but we only found one. Every other german TV-channel was encrypted and so not watchable. But, if you stay in Roma, there is much more to explore then some TV-channels, so it didn't really matter :=)

Alex was always reachable and very accommodating although he can be blunt when you’re bad with directions lol. The room was how it looked in the pictures but I wasn’t expecting the toilet/bidet to be in a separate room and the shower and sink to be in the room. There was quite a few ants that I found crawling on the floor and some mold on the shower walls but over all clean room.

The stay was very pleasant. The comfortable and clean room exceeded all expectations! The staff was always kind and helpful. I stayed in this property for just one night for work reasons and I will definitely return!
