"Excellent stay at Akira Lipe. The rooms were spacious and great value for the price especially during the low season in late May. Service was truly top notch — staff were always smiling, attentive and warm towards my one-year-old son. The hospitality felt genuine and not forced. Food was delicious, and although the hotel is not fully halal, the breakfast spread was excellent with beautiful sea views overlooking the turquoise water Very family-friendly and strategically located right next to the immigration point which made arrivals and departures extremely convenient (you can finish your immigration and head back to hotel and then go back later once the ferry departs - we did that as we had 2 hours to kill and with small baby it was life saving) Definitely coming back again :)"

"This bungalow-style resort by Sunset Beach is really lovely. The check-in deposit is just 100 THB. I really enjoyed the hotel's layout—it's only a five-minute walk to a 7-Eleven, which is super handy. The hotel's beach area is pretty small and often has boats around, so if you'd like to go snorkeling, I'd suggest walking about 10 minutes to the east side of the beach. For calm, beautiful turquoise water, head to the north tip of the island—it's about 30 minutes from the hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The resort offers massage services, a diving club, and yoga classes. A quick note on the bungalow I stayed in: there was no hot water, quite a few mosquitoes, and the lighting was fairly dim since it's nestled among gardens and other houses. The hotel also follows an eco-friendly policy to save electricity."

"First of all, the hotel itself is nice and close to the water with a nice view, this can be definitely recommended. But there are a couple of things that are not good. 1. A generator is running around the clock close to the entrance which vibrates through the ground. Earplugs were necessary to sleep. 2. The bar with awesome view closes 8pm already. 3. Lack of space for breakfast, you need to wait and come back until a table is free 4. E.g. Omelette is not possible to be served with vegetables at all, just egg and cheese in it, thats it. Milk, Salt, etc. needed to be refilled by actively engaging with the staff 5. The location is really far away from everything, but this is not serious as it can be considered. One night is okay, but there is not more around to be seen. Sunrise or Pattaya Beach has mu g more to offer."

"The location is probably the biggest plus here. It's right by the pier when you get off the boat in Koh Lipe, so you can walk straight there. They even help with luggage, so you just stroll along! The pool area is quite large, good for swimming. There are several restaurants and bars to suit different tastes. **Cleanliness:** We left a tip every day, so the room was cleaned pretty well. **Ambiance:** The hotel is right next to Walking Street, which is a big plus for anyone who loves shopping. The ocean outside is beautiful, despite a lot of boats coming and going; it's just not very quiet. **Service:** The service was truly terrible. The front desk staff clearly treated Chinese guests differently. We came during the low season, so the occupancy was very low, but they gave us a deluxe pool access room in the furthest corner, quite a distance from the main pool view. I've heard they only give Chinese guests the 'tail end' rooms, and I certainly experienced it! The front desk staff were also quite impatient when we asked questions, and the tuk-tuk they helped us call was more expensive than ones we found ourselves. I really can't complain enough about the service here! All the other hotels we stayed at on the island had much better service. There wasn't even a welcome treat for my birthday, which other places provided!"

"Loved it! 🥰🥰🥰 This stay completely exceeded my expectations. Each room is a small, standalone bungalow, and the hotel's beach is absolutely beautiful. The staff provides shuttle service to and from the pier. 🥰🥰 The rooms are very clean, and it's a short walk along the beach to both the pier and the walking street. For places further out, the staff will help you call a tuk-tuk. There are almost no downsides. I honestly didn't have high hopes before arriving, so I was completely surprised that a 500-yuan hotel could be this good! The only issue is that the service attitude isn't great, and the front desk staff seemed to judge people. "

"The hotel is located right on the beachfront, and the grounds are absolutely beautiful and well-maintained. There's a very warm and clean pool with a wonderful sea view. Sun loungers and umbrellas are available by the pool and on the beach. Breakfasts are excellent, with good coffee from a machine, several kinds of fruit, and delicious yogurts always on offer. I have no complaints about the hotel itself. HOWEVER, I do have a major issue with the hotel owner: how can you put guests in a house where they are being eaten alive by swarms of mosquitoes!!! This is because the wooden doors and windows are old, warped, and have huge gaps, making it impossible to close them tightly, and the mosquito nets are full of holes. You can see this clearly in the photos. We asked to be moved, but there were no available rooms. Instead of enjoying the beautiful sea, we had to buy tape to seal all the holes in the windows, and we taped up the front door at night, otherwise, it wouldn't just be mosquitoes living in our house. We also bought mosquito coils and burned them constantly, breathing smoke instead of fresh air. This particular house is the only one in such a state; all the other rooms are fine 👌 The house itself is spacious, with two rooms, two bathrooms, and a living room, which was very convenient for us! Change the windows and doors, and it would be perfect! 🔥 But to spend your entire vacation battling mosquitoes and bites for $200 a night, that's just not fair 😳 I didn't want to lower the hotel's rating too much, as the staff isn't to blame, they're great."

"From the moment we arrived via boat to the most beautiful setting, we were breath taken! The private beach is great for snorkeling and safe for kids. Our room (no. 6) was a good size, nice balcony, some sea views and comfortable. Staff were warm, welcoming and helpful, especially the receptionist who was always smiling and super friendly. Of our 8-day stay in Koh Lipe, we spent 3 nights here. By comparison, the hotel we moved to next was marginally cheaper, also with a high (but not as high) rating. Ten Moons was the better deal!!! Pros: - Stunning location - Large glass water jug in the room (which was refilled daily using a 5 gallon water bottle rather than multiple small plastic bottles). Great to see the hotel reducing the use of plastic! - Great breakfast selection - Food available all day - Clean - Staff helpful and friendly - Life jackets, beach toys, snorkels, etc available for use for free - Quiet location/very peaceful and relaxing - Lovely sand (sand texture tends to vary in Koh Lipe however it was great here!) - Walking distance or ferry ride to walking street and more livelier areas Cons: - One of the few hotels not showing a sign or communicating/educating tourists NOT to step on coral. The by-product is that there isn’t a lot of live coral to see although there is still a lot of fish life. By comparison, we saw a hotel further down actively promoting not to stand on coral with staff educating tourists - No pool (although not needed as the sea area is more than ample to swim in) - No kayaks (available for hire at THB200 per hour nearby, less than a minute walk away) - Not for people who struggle with stairs (although there are a couple of villas on the beach without the use of stairs) We would most certainly stay here again!"

"The bungalows are located on the most picturesque beach, and there are free sun loungers. Breakfasts are delicious, buffet style; the selection isn't huge, but you can always find something good. There's a free transfer to and from the Pier, and in the evenings, they offer rides to the walking street. The staff is very friendly and always ready to help in any situation."

"First, let's talk about the facilities. The room size was perfect for two people, and the big bed was very comfortable. Both the floor and bathroom were wooden, which was quite slippery when wearing slippers on rainy days. The biggest drawback was the lack of sufficient hot water for showering. After spending all day in the water, I was really looking forward to a hot shower in the evening, but the water was always cold and the water pressure was very low. I didn't bother complaining to the hotel, though, as fresh water is scarce on Koh Lipe, so I understand. Hygiene: The hygiene was actually quite good. Considering it's on a hillside, and there are bound to be bugs, I was pretty satisfied with how clean it was. Environment: The hotel is made up of individual villas, which offers a good level of independence and privacy. It was incredibly quiet at night. The nights I stayed there, it rained heavily with thunder and lightning every day, but the next morning the air was fresh and the sun was bright, which was truly wonderful. Service: Overall, the service was great, especially the room service and the staff who came to light mosquito coils; they were all very polite. One of the best things was that my pool villa faced an uninhabited island. It was only about a fifteen-minute kayak ride away, and the snorkeling there was absolutely beautiful! There were all sorts of small fish underwater, perfect for a beginner like me. I even learned how to use a snorkeling mask and a snorkel there. The hotel's beach was a bit small, but the sand was very white and fine, better than anywhere else on the island."

"We stayed in the Tree Pool Villa, and our kids absolutely loved it. They kept saying it felt like a real treehouse! The glass roof upstairs was such a nice surprise—we even spent some time looking at the stars before going to bed. They also had so much fun in the private pool. If they weren't there, they were swimming in the main pool or playing on the beach, which is only a short walk from the villa. The beach is honestly beautiful. The water is so clear and such a gorgeous blue. One evening we walked to Sunset Beach to watch the sunset, and it wasn't far at all. The resort was quiet and relaxing, the food was really good, and all the staff were kind and welcoming. Before we left, my husband and I looked at each other and said, ”We have to come back here again."
