"Facilities: They have everything you could ask for – smart toilets, a projector, and even two oxygen concentrators! Very reassuring.
Hygiene: Visibly quite clean.
Environment: The location at Wunongding is absolutely amazing. It's a shame we didn't get to see the 'Golden Mountain in the Sunlight' from Wunongding, but I'd still highly recommend staying there if you can. This place has a 5th-floor terrace with an excellent view, so you don't have to jostle with crowds.
Service: The service was great! The staff (both male and female) were incredibly enthusiastic and even upgraded our room when one was available. Since we arrived late on the first day, they kindly changed our afternoon tea to coffee for the second day. It was a very pleasant stay."

"An absolutely fantastic stay! First off, the views are unbeatable – our room had direct views of the Meili Snow Mountain. Secondly, the service was incredible; they offered a service chat group, afternoon tea, and a sweet soup before bed, truly thinking of everything. Lastly, the activities were amazing: sunset fireworks, professional photo shoots, and the Sang Incense Ceremony. There was never a dull moment! The room and bed were also spacious. Highly recommend!"

"After a 6-hour trek into Yubeng, just when my legs were about to give out, I found the hotel right near the village entrance, saving me from having to walk further in. What a lifesaver!
The front desk staff was incredibly attentive during check-in, emphasizing safety concerns. A week before my arrival, they even messaged me via WeChat with itinerary details and various tips. They also checked on my progress when I was delayed getting into the village.
Figure 1 shows a cozy corner in the common area, where I sat with the feline 'manager' lounging opposite me. The fresh alpine azaleas arranged daily are a delightful touch, really showing the hotel's thoughtfulness!
I was very happy with the rooms as well. Figures 2 and 3 show the two room types I stayed in. The decor is charmingly antique, with wooden furniture and accents that give it an authentic old-house feel, rather than a generic, cookie-cutter look. It felt very comfortable and relaxing. The underfloor heating was exceptionally warm, and the pillows were incredibly comfortable.
Figure 4 shows the snow-capped mountains directly visible from my room window, as well as the iconic Yubeng scenery captured from the entrance. Simply stunning!"

"Here's what I liked:
It's easy to park here, and they even have charging stations. The overall environment is really nice and peaceful; you can take a leisurely stroll around. It feels like there's still a lot of potential for further development. Since it wasn't busy on the day we checked in, they upgraded us to a deluxe snow view room on the second floor. We could literally lie in bed and enjoy the snow-capped mountains – pictures 7, 8, and 9 are actual shots of the view from the room. Some of the room amenities have been updated, like the smart toilet and the Laifen hairdryer. Plus, there's a private shortcut to the Feilai Temple observation deck, so you don't have to walk out to the main alley, which saves a lot of time.
Here's what I didn't like:
The decor is a bit old-fashioned, with a Tibetan-style, all-wood furniture aesthetic. I imagine older guests might appreciate it more. There's only one elevator to the second floor, and sometimes when you press '2', it just doesn't go up. It's really hit-or-miss and quite frustrating. Also, we had an issue where the room card didn't activate the power.
Overall, I'd say the Gaoshan Villa's positives definitely outweigh its negatives. Just being able to see the snow mountains from your bed makes it worth it. However, at this price point during the off-season, you might find other good hotel options."

There are 20 rooms in hotel, all facing the Meili mountain. The big glass windows make all the guests enjoy the spectacular Mountain View easily.
There is a restaurant and a coffee house in hotel. There is buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner are also supplied during 12:00-21:30. Guests can enjoy coffee, wine, and deserts etc. in coffee house during 10:00-22:00.
Outside the coffee house, there is a big platform on which guests can enjoy the first glory sunshine on the golden mountain Meili.
"I booked the Yunshu, room F02, and I highly recommend this room type. The location is absolutely perfect, right above the Meili road sign. Personally, I think the view of the snow-capped mountains from the room is even better than from the Feilai Temple viewing platform downstairs. The floor-to-ceiling window next to the sofa in the room directly faces the Shennü Peak, and you can also see Kawagebo, though unfortunately, the weather wasn't good on the day I was there, so I missed out on that. The room also provides a tripod, which you can set up on the balcony for photos.
The afternoon tea was also great; I absolutely loved the sour tamarind iced Americano. We also had dinner on the first floor (basement), and the food was delicious with generous portions. The staff were all very friendly and even gave us a special souvenir, a cute little cup, when we left. It's a shame we didn't get to see the 'golden mountains in the sun' due to the weather. I'll definitely come back in winter. See you next time, Meili Shiqi! 🤜"

"I stayed at the Meili Podu, hoping to witness the sunrise over the thirteen peaks of Meili Snow Mountain... but unfortunately, the weather didn't cooperate. It was rainy for days, and a thick fog enveloped the peaks, preventing me from seeing the magnificent sight of Meili's thirteen peaks! The hotel faces the snow mountain directly, so you can enjoy the 'golden mountain at sunrise' from your room if you're lucky enough to catch it. The hotel service was warm and attentive. Breakfast, afternoon tea, and evening desserts were all provided. Special mention goes to the breakfast, which was incredibly rich and exquisitely prepared. On the second morning, there was also a butter lamp lighting ceremony for blessings. The hotel's location is unbeatable, truly the best for viewing the snow mountain's 'golden sunrise'."

A significant part of it was also the warmth and service from every staff member at Ji Xia Shan. No matter when or where, everyone I encountered greeted me not with a standardized, robotic smile, but with a genuinely bright and warm one. There was the unlimited supply of butter tea, the enthusiastic yet shy breakfast guy, the thoughtful and respectful housekeeper sister, the handsome young man on the fourth-floor viewing deck who taught us time-lapse photography, and the auntie who kept asking if we had enough food even after loading our breakfast plates... This wasn't just a place to stay; it felt more like a warm home. When we left in the car, everyone stood at the door waving goodbye, and for the first time, I felt an immense reluctance to leave a hotel, tears flowing uncontrollably. This trip not only received the blessing of the sacred mountains but also embraced the warmth of Ji Xia Shan. "The hotel is right next to the bus station from ShangriLa. This is very convenient. Remember on the way return to ShangriLa. You can ask a bus driver if the bus to ShangriLa or not because the bus stops here for passengers and they will drive down the mountains to Deqin bus station in. Deqin county then the bus stops here again for passengers to buy tickets and get back to the bus again.

"Facilities: The insulation effect in the tent is impressive, the sound insulation effect is full, and the facilities are brand new and complete! Electric blankets, shoe dryers, foot massagers, Dyson hair dryers, heaters, humidifiers, etc.... Everything you need is there!
Hygiene: Very clean! The bedding is very clean, the bedding is high-woven pure cotton and very soft, even in the mountains, the quilt does not feel damp when sleeping, the bathroom carpet is clean, and the smart toilet feels good~ The shower water temperature is stable, and the bathroom shower facilities are complete, which is very satisfying! Environment: Quiet. The three floor-to-ceiling windows in the tent can see the White Horse Snow Mountain, the Goddess Peak, and Kawagebo! Just looking at it is very shocking. The tent is really unique☺️
Service: The two handsome bosses provide full support and service from reception to dining to our hiking departure. They are very nice and kind, without any sense of distance. The yak beef hot pot on the first day is really unforgettable! I feel really happy to be able to eat fresh and delicious food in the mountains. Thank you to the bosses for their strong support and dedicated service!
