"It's the fourth time I'm staying at this hotel. Recent renovation has really uplifted the rooms, pool, kids club, gym and all. However I've been bitterly disappointed with the staff this time. The lack of consideration shown is appalling. They seem to have really rigid rules which they are never willing to change. As an example if you order something on the menu they will never accommodate any requests to modify the dish slightly. I think they review the way they treat clients and train their staff properly. Else they will surely be eaten up by the competition around!"

"Best experience ever at C Mourouk! We were warmly welcomed, everyone was so kind and attentive, and the place is incredibly peaceful. The room was perfect. The food every night was a true culinary experience, with delicious local dishes. Highly recommend for a relaxing getaway."

"1. Room not that tidy and there were insects in the room. And wifi in room was super slow. 2. On our 2nd day at stay, when we returned to our room at night, the whole room was flooded due to broken water pipes and they swapped us in a smaller room with no single bed. (We initially booked and paid for 2 single beds in one room). And we had to walk in the flooded rooms, pack our bags in a haste and move to the other room. (I attached a picture of the flooded lobby before our first rooms. 3. No parking facility when we went, due to the hotel was conducting construction activities. But at least they could have informed us before that. We had book car but had no place to park the car at the hotel. 4. Food: No variety of food in the restaurant, no buffet style. You have to go with what they prep. And vegetarian options are really small."

"Small establishment with only 8 rooms, divided into 4 buildings scattered over a large plot of land with a lagoon view. The staff is extremely helpful, kind and serious. Incredibly good meal, cooked daily. The room is very spacious with an outdoor shower and a large terrace. Direct beach access, possibility of renting a scooter to visit the island. Superb establishment: simple but effective! Well done and thank you for everything."

"My 4th time in Rodrigues and the 1st awful experience I encountered. From the pictures on the website, the "villa" looks great but you quickly realise it is not actually. Let's start from the positive side, the location is well situated. Within metres from Robert and Solange and the nice public beach. The view from the balcony is superb. However, it was cut short by some acute lackings from Viane (the host). She was informed by telephone that we will be arriving early morning amd she guaranteed that the rooms will be ready and that breakfast will be served. From the airport, she sent a driver to pick us up who was on time. On the way to the "villa" he did another route which was of course longer. I realised it but didn't say a word and after the trip, he charged us MUR 1500. We paid and didn't mention anything. We were on holidays and didn't want this to make it a sour one. But just to let you know that the time from the airport to the "villa" is only 25 mins. Upon arrival, we are informed that the rooms are not ready. Another surprise because we were informed that it will be ready. Some lemon water were offered to us and we stayed on the balcony for 2 hours before getting the room. It was indeed very hot and humid. As promised on the phone, breakfast was to be served but there was no breakfast. After 1.5 hours when we went to ask Viane about breakfast, she said that it won't be served as we had some snacks on the plane. Being the host and responding to us like this was very very surprising. Again, we didn't make any issue out of it. Finally, the rooms are ready. She showed us the way. Don't expect that she will show you around as she is the only one handling the cleaning of the "villas". Never mind!!! We are young, we will manage. We were a group of 5 persons by the way. Getting in the rooms, it was not that clean. Lizard faeces everywhere, corners of the bathroom full of algae, spots on the bed cover. Again!!!! We said never mind. We are on a short holiday. We will manage. The first night we had dinner at her place. To be honest, the food she prepared was good. Quite expensive though for what is being served. Samossa, white rice, lentils, chicken and papaya salad at MUR 700 per person. Never mind, we didn't want to go out the first night, hence stayed there for dinner. By the way, we had done a 50% deposit for the the accommodation stay and while having dinner, she came and asked for the remaining payment. Very elegant from her side I will say. We told her not to worry, the next day we will go to Port Mathurin to get cash as she doesnt take card payment or online transfer. The following day, we had breakfast. Toast, butter, jam, seasonal fruits, tea, coffee and cake. We left for our tour. One friend was sick, so she stayed at the "villa". During our tour, we get a call from her. She says that there is another man in our "villa" and she was sleeping. When she confronted her, he states that he is staying there and that he will be shari"
