My family and I visited Busch Gardens in Williamsburg, VA on Saturday, October 12. In preparation for this trip, I booked a condo via Airbnb and paid in full at the time of the booking (August 26). Unfortunately, the host, who was absolutely irresponsible, never gave us instructions on how to access the property, despite repeated attempts to contact him the day before we were to leave and the day of our arrival. Airbnb later tried to reach the host without success and, as a result, cancelled the reservation and reimbursed me. Since this was William and Mary's homecoming weekend, we were desperate to find two hotel rooms. As luck would have it, DoubleTree in Williamsburg had two rooms available and we booked them. The staff could not have been more accommodating. The service we received was impeccable and the rooms were immaculate. After a tense day, we were able to get a good night's rest. I would gladly recommend this hotel to anyone. Management understands the concept of excellent customer service! Thank you for such a comfortable stay!

The so called manager of this place is a real pc of work! I ask m to send a fax for me,he says we don't have a fax machine!? Oh really yesterday the girl sent a fax for me no problem, but one page didn't go thru,he couldn't even take the time to. Try and fax, pretty sad case for a ssupposed manager, great way to service a lifetime diamond member! Loser for a manager! Employee knows more than him!

Thank you James from the front desk and housekeeping. I had an excellent 2-night stay at this hotel (clean room, solid amenities, very nice staff). I was a little bummed that there is no free coffee but... I had to leave early and left behind an incredibly important item. Obviously, housekeeping brought it to Lost&Found (so glad I always leave tips) and then James helped secure my item and have it overnighted to me by UPS. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Grateful for a good stay and an excellent outcome.

Worst experience I've had at a hilton resort, very disappointed. All of the typical features of using your phone to get in and controlling the room with the app on your phone didn't work. The sliding glass door to the balcony was very difficult to shut and lock, the refrigerator wasn't working when we got there and they had to send engineering up, there was a a stain that looked like rust on the inside of the tub. The power in our room (could have also been the whole hotel but not sure) went completely out for at least 2 mins. We stopped by the front desk to request 1 extra towel and never received it. Coming back from the parks around 5:30-6 the trashcans in the lobby were at max capacity and over flowing. The waitress we had at the restaurant was great, she was probably the highlight of the stay. Minimal seating inside the indoor part of the pool. I went to check out at the front desk since nothing seemed to work on the app and got charged $32 for parking which you would think would be included when you pay for the stay initially. We will not go back to this Hilton location ever again.

We stayed 2 days in this very family friendly hotel: it is vast, with an indoor/outdoor pool and arcades. No breakfast included: we went to the small cafe inside the hotel which was good but a little expansive. The hotel was quiet and restful.

My family spent 4 nights at this hotel. It was CLEAN and bright and the front desk staff was friendly and welcoming. We had asked for a handicapped room/shower and we had a lovely room on the first floor with a large walk in shower. ONLY issue with the shower was the water pressure was VERY low and the hand held shower head was not placed in a convenient LOCATION in the shower itself, when placed in it's holder, HOWEVER IT WAS VERY CLEAN AND WORKED WELL once you got the hang of how to use it. Clean towels. Clean sink. A bit worn but clean. Food in the restaurant was OK. Only ate there once. WE LOVED our visit to Williamsburg and Yorktown. It was BEAUTIFUL AND CONVENIENT AND SO INTERESTING. EVERYTHING around TOWN was clearly marked and parking was very easy. We got a wheelchair for me from the Visitors Ctr and that WAS SOOOO HELPFUL. Wonderful vacation !!!!! I do look forward to returning !!!! Very very interesting good vacation and nice hotel for our visit!

The only reason that I gave this hotel 1 star was because it wouldn't accept 0 stars. We were in town for a family funeral, and had to get last minute booking. We've stayed at many Hiltons in our life, (I'm 83, he is 84) and they have always been a good experience. My husband and his daughter checked in on Tuesday afternoon, with 2 queen beds. I arrived on Friday evening and she left to stay with another family member. I was shocked and appalled when I walked into the room. Aside from being shabby and outdated & very expensive, the room had not been serviced since they arrived, even though a housekeeper had been there that day. He had asked the housekeeper to change bedding, but could only converse by pointing. She spoke no English. Bedding did not get changed, and blanket and spread were thrown over the bed haphazardly. Waste baskets were overflowing with 4 days worth of empty coffee cups, juice and water bottles. Bathroom waste basket not emptied even though she did leave fresh towels. He is disabled and supposedly the room was handicap accessible...although probably not to ADA standards. He can't stand and there were grab bars, but nowhere for him to sit to shower. He hadn't been able to shower from Tuesday thru Friday. I had to get in the tub with him, so he didn't fall. After I complained to Mgr., Steven, he secured a shower chair. Steven said he knew he was disabled and couldn't stand. Saturday morning, I went to make coffee, only to find there were no cups or creamer. Not only that, once they brought them to me, I had to fiddle with the coffeemaker to get it to turn on. TV was not working when he arrived. Wake was on Sunday, and I spent 10 minutes trying to get the bathroom outlet to work so I could blow-dry my hair. I finally succeeded, but on Monday, the day of the funeral, I could not get it to work. Finally, I used the single accessible outlet in the bedroom, and with no mirror. Needless to say, A Disaster!!!!!! I was humiliated!!! Steven said he would have someone fix it while we were gone for the day. Not fixed, water pic not able to be used that evening. Our stay was during a stressful time in our lives, and we did not need the added stress. We were there from Tuesday until Monday and the room rate was quite high. Not even complimentary breakfast to sweeten the bad experience, and $10/day parking charge in a very large empty lot????? The hotel was shabby and terribly outdated at best. The experience was horrid. We felt like we were being taken advantage of...we are seniors and handicapped. No concessions made for either, not even reduced rate.

We were really looking forward to trying this property, so here we go. The good: It was very pleasant walking into the expansive and updated lobby. The host was friendly and had me checked in quickly. And having been a loyal member of another property chain, which has worked out in our favor, I took advantage of his offer to sign me up for the Hilton Honors program as well. It was quick and easy and I was looking forward to putting it to use in the future. Got our room key and off we went. HUGE room; great water pressure; plenty of hot water; reasonably comfortable beds with decent bedding that actually fit. The bad: Pretty much everything else. Room and furnishings showing their age; a little musty; carpet pretty much disgusting; walls did little to block any noise from adjacent room or hall; Nice tv except it pulled in no local news channels successfully; we were next to an exit door which was broken – in that it did not close all the way or lock so security was an issue (this has been noted by other reviewers, and clearly not addressed). Overall, the property is simply showing its age, and not in a good way. All this was topped off by a $10 per night parking charge. The ad for the property said ‘self-parking’ and that should have been a red flag for me. Fair enough, most hotels in this price range do not provide valet parking unless it is in a more metropolitan area, nor do they charge a separate fee. Many other properties available in the Williamsburg which are competitively priced – and don’t charge what is essentially a hidden parking fee. This is simply a money grab and a complete showstopper for me. Shame on Hilton. I will not be activating my rewards account, as I won’t be using it going forward.

This hotel was very comfortable and the front desk staff were top notch and very friendly. Would recommend this hotel. However, if you have an electric vehicle, beware that the chargers are only for Tesla automobiles so you'll need some type of adapter. This hotel is down the street from Busch Gardens so there were tons of excited children.
