Rio Olaya Hotel

Located in busy Olaya road, Rio is a good mid range hotel. Check in was smooth, rooms are good. Breakfast is average with limited variety. The worse part is the fire alarm went out everyday for extended period. It was a false alarm and once it woke me up at 4 am. The hotel has restaurants, coffee shops and supermarket nearby which was very convenient.

we check in yesterday june 28 2023 for our eid vacation @4:30 pm together with my 2 friends and the saudi receptionist that time was very welcoming polite and very accomodating . the sad part during check out the receptionist whose on duty that time collecting us 50sr for drinks ,1 small pringles and 1 pack of assorted nuts in the mini ref in our room . i was a former hotellier for 12 yeasr in some of the famous 5 star hotel internationally but this is the first time happened that complementary drink is paid of during checked out the receptionist told us thats the hotel standard not to him. this is not about money but the hotel arrangement very horroble ...hopefully next time before the guest inter the room you should do a briefing about the drinks and the chips is for sale no problem atkeast we informed not in this shocking way the reception told us there is a menu in the room about the price but we dont even see that said menu...now my question is the room no.5050 is so good ellegant everythings provided except the mini ref desplayed with a few water and drink is all for sale .,so maybe there is no even 1 bottled water is for free because i paid everything for 50sr as per receptionist total. i just want to express that all staffs we were incounter during stay are very ok from housekeeping ,the restaurant staff during breakfast are so nice and and accomodating thats why they deserved a gift from us during my stay.,except to my main complain about charging of everthing inside your mini ref. without any info that those things is for sale ..im so happy during my stay specially in you swimming pool i do a lot of content posted to my page since im a vlogger (social media influencer) in able to share and let them know the best experience in RIO HOTEL to my 20k plus followers in riyadh...thang you #eidmubarak😘🙏😇😇😇

Had a good and quite stay. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff are nice but I would like to thank the receptionist Fahad in particular who was very friendly and helpful. He provided me with many tips on how to make my visit to Riyadh more exciting and easier.
