Grantley Hall

Grantley Hall is one of our favourite hotels in the world - My wife celebrates her birthday here on an annual basis. This year we had a small issue which was dealt with almost immediately by Thierry and his team - Lat year we marked the hotel 9/10 - This year 10/10 The breakfast is amazing as is dinner in "Fletchers" It goes without saying we will be back next year. Booked a table for Saturday festive lunch in the Grantley suite and it was the most magical experience ever. From the second you go through the main gates (and greeted at the gates) and the drive through the beautiful landscape gardens to the hotel is an experience in its self. The hotel and grounds are IMMACULATE. The staff are wonderful and as a business owner myself am astonished to the quality of staff they have on board who are all dedicated to ensuring every single customer is treated like royalty. I have to mention a young man of 19yrs old called Stan who kindly gave us a guided tour and wowed us with his politeness, attentiveness and professionalism he showed us and at the age of 19, I hope his parents see this as they have done a tremendous job of raising this young man and should be extremely proud of him in deed , Grantley hall you need to keep this young man at all costs as he is your future success. So the festive lunch was ABSOLUTELY outstanding from the second we entered to the second we left, the staff were impeccable and up there with the very best in the business, the food was to die for and presented fit for a king, the service and attention to detail could not be faulted whatsoever. So to summarise we were blown away for nearly 5hours and we will 100% be returning very soon and will be a regular client of Grantley Hall as nowhere in my 40yrs of travel and dining have we experienced anything on par.

New Year splurge Amazing hotel from start to finish. Yes, it was expensive but you get what you pay for. Great service, fantastic room with massive shower. Fruit, and damson gin provided for guests gratis. Great hotel to wander around with lovely gardens, even in January. Would love to stay again in the summer.

My top hotel. Amazing hotel - the grand scale, lots of restaurants , lobby areas and one of the best spa pools - 3 in total including a heated one outside. The icing on the cake is the level of service from all the staff

Disappointed The trip started well, room was well appointed, enjoyed the spa, staff were friendly. Unfortunately we were woken at 6.30am by radio/television noise that staff appeared not to be able to locate. This was followed by house keeping entering our room whilst we were at breakfast despite the do no disturb sign being on and starting to clean the room before we had checked out. This is not acceptable and we had to ask them to leave and pack round the mess they had left. Managements response was 'thats never happened before' we will take you drinks and food off your bill. Yes a gesture but spoilt the end of our stay and at £600 a night you expect better...

1st class - you will not be disappointed Absolutely fabulous experience - highest quality of service, of food and a great spa to boot
