Service and bar and kitchen facilities are practically non-existent. The place is beautiful, but everything else leaves something to be desired. The place is isolated, so care should be taken with guests. The architecture is beautiful, but the service is not terrible.

I had three wonderful days at Chez Georges in September 2023. The Hotel is a quiet, well hidden space within the lovely centre of Santa Teresa. The concept is a very personal, elegant and somehow minimalistic approach. In some ways it felt like a luxury B&B, with beautifully arranged interiors in the common areas and simple, yet high quality rooms. If you go, please give a warm hug to Vanessa and Mohammed, how took care of me in a stressful situation. I feel thankful for them, my time at the hotel and the amazing city of Rio de Janeiro.

Hier ist man Teil einer Familie mit der man ein Haus teilt. Die Hostessen sprechen sehr gut Englisch und sind sehr hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend. Die Küche, der Kühlschrank sowie das ganze Haus sind frei zugänglich - alles beruht auf Vertrauen. Das Frühstück ist ausgezeichnet und die Aussicht könnte die beste in ganz Rio de Janeiro sein - einfach grandios. Wir wollte einen Sambakurs belegen und die Hostessen haben kurzerhand ein Tanzlehrerpaar organisiert die uns im geräumigen Wohnzimmer der Villa Sambaunterricht gegeben haben -einfach toll Achtung: von Samstag auf Sonntag findet oft eine Funk-Nacht in einer Favela statt die bis 6:00 Uhr morgens dauert und sehr laut ist - allerdings sorgt das Hotel für Ohrstöpsel.
