"Good hotel but little costly. Breakfast was good and had lots of of options for vegetarian. One weird thing though there is no free water, either drink tap water from bathroom or pay for it that too 5£ for water bottle. I didn’t like this,water is very basic thing and should be free after paying a good amount for hotel booking. Rest all was good."

"Nice modern rooms in a fantastic location! Hotel spread across 3 buildings, but not an inconvenience.
Breakfast was excellent offering hot, cold and local food; it was late to open on the one day when we needed it most though, as we were going out very early. Staff generally very helpful and friendly.
Bed very comfy. Good radiators for drying soggy coats. Would stay again (and are planning to as well!)."

"I had an excellent stay at this hotel! The rooms were large and spotlessly clean, the staff was exceptionally welcoming and helpful, and the location was ideal for city exploration. "Very spacious rooms right in Old Town with super single beds! The staff was super friendly and recommended us to visit the St Peter’s Cathedral next door and it was such a beautiful place to get a bird’s eye view of old town. However the toilet had a strange stench for some reason.
Would have been better if the TVs are smart TVs.
But still a great place overall."

GGuest UserThe property is under renovation, the whole floor and my room is with all the furnitures or renovation smell. It’s not a pleasant feel when you walking on the corridor to the room as some areas are renovating and some room doors are open and the furnitures all putting outside the corridor. Other than the location is good I really have bad experience with the smell especially while sleeping I got sinus with all these bad smell. I request to change room and they said is full. I request to fix the safebox battery and end up they didnt do it, I was on business trips and stay for 2 nights it’s a very bad experience for me. If you are renovating the floor pls do not rent iit our or at least clear the smell before renting to others.

GGuest UserAn extraordinary building ; one of the most architecturally impressive hotels in which I can remember staying, with wonderfully helpful staff and a location that can not be bettered -- with a commendable breakfast. Five stars ! But then . . .
Beautifully configured and equipped rooms but, constraints on urban buildings being what they are, and the architects having elected a stunning central skylit air- and light-well, our room, at least, had no window. Where was one to be placed, after all ? The air-conditioning worked well, but truly fresh air was not available.
The housekeeping staff had neglected the bathroom attached to the room that we used. Hair, a cotton-tipped applicator stick, and -- simply -- dirt were on the tiles. This can happen. It was very different from the rest of the experience of the stay. But there it was.
Have a look around when you check in. Ask for a repeat cleaning of your room if you think one is necessary. Enjoy your stay.

Mmw1688After repeated request, the front desk guy even said he would but didn’t pass my request to prepare for packages to take breakfast away for my early bus and I ended up delaying the departure by 1h30 for a later bus! This is horrible services. And as I extended this stay, the room ended up without being able to cleaned as there’s no sign for it. So nobody cleaned the room for 3 nights of stay.
Spa costs 20€ minimum. No free swimming!
Besides that, facilities are good and breakfast is good.

GGuest UserThe hotel has value for money in the old town area of Riga. Check in was smooth and we were able to get into our room quickly to drop off our bags and get to Arena Riga for an ice hockey game with limited time to get there. The location is very central to the sites of Riga's old town and there are some very good restaurants nearby. There are quite a few convenience stores and souvenir shops nearby but they close fairly early. The hotel has a very interesting feeling to it with exposed brick walls and original/restored wood beams and stairs. We appreciated that it also had an elevator to get to the top floor we stayed on.
We booked the twin room and had a pleasant stay and the room was quiet enough to get a good night's rest despite the bars nearby. The beds were comfy but the pillows were a little thin. The room had a fully stocked mini bar with decent prices which would help if we got desperate for drinks. There was a large wardrobe and a small work desk in the room too. There were also plugs conveniently placed around the room so we could get all our devices charged. The bathroom was quite large and we appreciated the hot shower and towel warmer. They provide handsoap and a body/hair gel for the shower. The rooms have air conditioning and the windows open to help with the stuffiness. The twin rooms have a slanted ceiling so my short wife had the bed on the slanted side and had no issues.
The breakfast was very good and we enjoyed the variety of food brought out both mornings. They had hot items which changed a bit each day and included an egg omelette, bacon, potatoes, a Latvian pancake and sausages. There was a good spread of cold items too and we are sure a vegetarian would be satisfied with the offerings of vegetables, cheeses, devilled eggs and fruit. The coffee machine made a very good hot chocolate and they also provided juice and water with breakfast. There is a bar behind the check in counter that is open to hotel guests and a nice seating area in the lobby too if you're looking for something more later.
There is a sauna at the hotel but we weren't sure if it was open during our stay or what time it did open because there were no hours posted and we didn't get a chance to ask the staff. There is very limited free parking near the hotel and it seemed like the same local parked in front of the hotel each day. We would recommend taking the bus from the airport if you have the time but if you're in a hurry Bolt is pretty affordable in Riga to get around. There are car rentals north of the hotel and Bolt works in old town to book electric scooters and cars which was pretty convenient during our visit in Riga.

GGuest UserHotel is very conveniently located, next to the mall and central station, minutes walk to the bus station, central market and old town. Check in was perfect and helpful with city map provided. Kettle, cups, sachet tea and coffee are provided, shampoo, hand soap, tissue paper, shower cap were provided in the bathroom. Would be good if they provided body lotion and hair conditioner. Sadly, the power plugs at the desk does not fit a travel adaptor and there are no usb ports. The single bed was right next to the curtain and a mirror is right in front of the bed, very weird room design. There’s a safe deposit box in the room. Do remember to bring your own slippers as no room slippers are provided.

GGuest UserThe hotel was elegant and the location was good, but the room we stayed in did not have a safe, so we left our valuables at the front desk. It was our fault for not getting a safe deposit box, but the young man at the front desk did not hand it over to us, so the staff could not find it even after searching, and we almost missed our flight. We told them that the phone was broken and that the bathrobe was missing, and they promised to deliver it later, but they never showed up... We gave up, thinking that it was a bad room.

Unfortunately, the staff were rather unfriendly, which spoiled the stay somewhat. In addition, it was not possible to rent beach towels and there were additional costs for the wellness area that were not included in the price. Overall, it was a pleasant stay.

GGuest UserCentral hostel was simply wonderful. It was very clean, quiet and peaceful. The staff were fantastic and very helpful, especially Alana who gave me lots of good advice and information to help me find my way about and where to go and what to see. The owners have added a lot of lovely homely elements to the hostel. You really feel at home there. The outside courtyard has been created beautifully with pots of flowers and hanging baskets. There are seating areas outside in the courtyard too. This is the best hostel! My room at was fantastic, a comfortable bed, storage and lots of room.

MMeganGreat location for me as I love looking at local markets and the central market was a 10 minute walk away. Old town is much further as is the art nouveau streets however. It had a few dust bunnies behind the door, but overall very clean. Unfortunately, the toilet smelled of sewerage and the scent permeated the room. Still, the heater ran warm and no problems with the water temperature. Bed a little too soft so not for those with back pain. Decent breakfast with good croissants and sausage selection. Front desk was helpful and lent me an adapter to check if my charger was still working or if it was a cable issue. Overall smooth check in and out.

The room was super clean.
The location is easy to get to the airport, bus terminal, downtown.
And there is a small restaurant nearby with nice selection on the menu.
The stuff is helpful and friendly.
The minuses:
The room is worn out. It needs a vacation or an upgrade. (But remember, it was still super clean!!!)
The kitchen area is just scary. And I am not gonna add more descriptions to that.
Nevertheless, I am greaful to have that scary kitchen. I was getting a cold, and it helped a lot to have the ability to boil the water several times for my throat.
Will I stay there again? Yes. Because all I needed is a clean place to sleep and take a shower.
