Restaurante com serviço self-service muito a desejar. Oferta de pratos pouco diversificado e pobre. Sobremesa com pouca variedade e quantidade muitíssimo limitado e não é self-service. Reposição um pouco atrasada. Nao gostei da experiência

Large complex by the sea 2 or 3 km from the center. Very warm welcome / attentive and accommodating staff (for breakfast for example). sea view room with balcony. Very pleasant seawater swimming pool and at the top a dike built in front allows you to swim in the protected sea. The hotel was empty but that didn't bother us. I recommend the restaurant: very good and plentiful dishes. At this price I recommend.

I spent a nightmarish week at the Vulcao hotel, dirty toilet, critters everywhere, even in my bed, none of the services offered were available, I asked to change rooms, this was only done The day before I left, and I found the bathroom flooded in this new room, but the icing on the cake was when I caught the cleaning lady going through my things. Hotel right on the water, a magnificent view, very pleasant and kind staff. The hotel is very clean, it is a place that I recommend +++ I will come back with pleasure. Liliane at reception is exceptionally kind. The hotel shuttle allows you to go to Praia, and the driver despite the language barrier is very nice. Note not knowing how to speak Portuguese or English, the staff does their best, it's really great.

The Vulcao is 20 minutes from the next town and has probably seen better days. The rooms are OK, but the rest of the hotel looks very run down. All the pool loungers were broken or torn. The dining room had the charm of a train station hall from days gone by. The breakfast was poor.

Unfortunately, in this hotel such an experience does not subscribe to this saying. Very poor and pitiful customer service... Characterized by a lack of skills in interpersonal relationships. The hotel is outside of Ciudad Velha, there is no infrastructure in the area. It is about 2 km to the town. We stayed one night in this hotel with a tour group after 2 weeks on various islands in the Cape Verde Islands. The rooms on the sea side are large, but the furnishings make them seem dark. The bed is as hard as a board. The shower tray in the bathroom is disgusting. Overall, the whole complex is uninviting and has a massive backlog of maintenance. At dinner you are tied to the hotel. The food was OK, but only a buffet was offered. The staff are sometimes overwhelmed with orders. Hardly any English is spoken. The pool looks unkempt, the loungers are partly worn. I would definitely not go to the hotel again. There are much better options in Ciudad Velha or Praia.
