We had a pleasant overnight stay here en route to Symi. It’s on a busy street but our room at the back of the hotel was very quiet. The room was fairly large, bed comfortable, plenty of storage space and the bathroom looked to have been recently renovated with a great shower. The breakfast was fine - a little limited but we were down early in order to catch our ferry so maybe additional items were brought out later. It will definitely be one of our considerations next time we’re looking to stay in Rhodes Town.

Ωστόσο, το πρόβλημα δημιουργήθηκε όταν κατά την άφιξη μας, μας ενημέρωσαν ότι κάθε 2 ημέρες αλλάζουν τις πετσέτες και κάθε 3 ημέρες τα σεντόνια και εν τέλει η αλλαγή των σεντονιών έγινε την τέταρτη ημέρα στις 23:00 κατόπιν δικής μας παράκλησης. Ζητήσαμε επικοινωνία με την ιδιοκτήτρια (κ. Κυριακή) η οποία ισχυρίστηκε ότι, ενώ κάθε δύο μέρες μας άλλαζαν πετσέτες, μαζεύτηκαν 10 πετσέτες, πράγμα που συνέβη επειδή δεν μας τις άλλαζαν κάθε δύο μέρες όπως μας είχαν ενημερώσει και αναγκαστήκαμε να ζητήσουμε από την ρεσεψιόν καθαρές με αποτέλεσμα να συσσωρεύονται. Καθώς προσπαθούσαμε να μεταφέρουμε τα παράπονα μας στην ιδιοκτήτρια, η συμπεριφορά της ήταν απαράδεκτη (μας μίλησε στον ενικό, μας κατηγόρησε ότι το πρόβλημα ήταν δικό μας και δεν φεύγαμε εγκαίρως από το δωμάτιο για να μας το καθαρίσουν). Τέλος, να σημειωθεί ότι ζήτησαν να αλλάξουμε εμείς τα σεντόνια ενώ προσωπικό υπήρχε.

Un hotel gradevole e accogliente con personale garbato e disponibile. Citiamo Sofia per tutti . Camera spaziosa , balconcino , servizi igienici e condizionatore al top . Colazione mattutina molto buona , con una buona scelta di pietanze , la signora che era lì addetta è stata di una cordialità spettacolare . Costo ragionevole ! Siamo stati per una settimana veramente bene e a nostro agio !

This was our third stay at Santa Maria City Hotel, from 16.th of june to 16.th of july. Luckily we got the same familyroom as we had once before. This time for 3 weeks. The first week of 4, we chose a doubleroom since we were only two. The hotel is the same. The mattresses is great to sleep in, however there are no mattress-protection, so you clearly see the dirt! Not much hygienic. I did as earlier stay; went out and bought my own fitted sheet. It has - sad to say, lost a bit of its charm both due to lack of maintenance, but also as for the breakfast; still no variety of bread/rolls etc. Breadknifes for slizing rolls were still absent. The housekeeping was unfortunately mediocre. When it comes to the reception/desk-employees, Dimitris is one of a kind. He makes you feel welcome and special. He loves his job, cares deeply for his guests and are so humble. What Sophia and (Nico)Letta concerns, they are two lovely woman who sees their guests and also takes good care of you during your stay.
