I do not understand the negative reviews for the amazing place, however, perhaps there are different ideas of great. We have been staying here off and on for a number of years, both with our whole family (we had to check out the ski hill roller coaster) and as a couple. We LOVE the fact that it is quiet and you are away (but only 10 min drive) from Revelstoke...it is quiet, and wildlife is common and we love the natural beauty....plus if you come for the off-roading (we do not) how awesome is it do have trails right outside your door. We love that you can have your own private cabin....and your OWN hot tub!!! After long days of driving, sometimes to Vancouver for example, we look so forward to relaxing in the hot tub on the deck. Breakfast is included, however, we have never used it because with the recent upgrades we have a great little kitchenette area in the cabin. Also, after riding motorbike thru wet snow and rain it was wonderful to have the heater to dry out gloves, boots etc. The staff have always been excellent and helpful if we need them, but we usually do not. Anyway, this is a must stay place with all your vehicles parked at your door. Thank you Glacier House for many years of great memories.

Just got back from a 2 night stay yesterday. Check-in was fine, Dominique was very friendly. We had the Premier Family Cabin for the 5 of us. At first glance, it was what we expected. My daughter didn't expect to see two spiders on her bed, including one on her pillow. Her comforter had a stain on it, and she informed the front desk who gave her another. The cleaning person needs to check under the furniture, as she also found a pair of socks, a can?, some Jelly Bellies and an SDM reusable bag. There appears to be mold growing where the joists are as it was black (pics will show) Two burners on the BBQ wouldn't light and the wire brush had no wires left. The AC was good but too loud in our queen bedroom. The beds were fine too. We didn't use the hottub but it did run while we were sitting outside, for some reason. There was a small wasp nest in the fascia and the wasps were relentless. The continental breakfast was a bit disappointing. I only had the breakfast potatoes and 2 sausages and they were cold and seemed not fresh. The coffee was good. Overall, it was okay and we did inform the girl at checkout, of the issues. A bit overpriced considering.

Glacier House Resort advertises itself as a very quiet getaway place, notwithstanding there’s an ATV/snowmobile adventure establishment on the premises. Okay if you’re into snowmobiling but if you’re looking for a quiet getaway? I doubt it. What you don’t see are the humongous power lines coming from the BC Hydro electric generating station that come behind the northern part of the resort. Yes, a very nice unspoiled view looking south, but some humongous power lines coming from the BC Hydro generating station a short distance away from the Columbia River. We were there for 5 nights in the so-called "shoulder season" - the not so busy time of the year, notwithstanding there were always at least half a dozen visitors' cars in the parking lot. Our booking included a 'hot" breakfast. Given the price, it's what we expected. We got cold French toast on brown bread, cold Polish sausage, bagels that tasted like sausage. The Sterno pot underneath the warming pans had been on for at least an hour. I've had better breakfasts at Econolodge, Super 8, and Days Inns. There was the usual electric waffle pan and batter to make your own waffles. We discussed this and made some suggestions with the front desk, who took notes. Next day, I checked the offerings. The French toast had been replaced by frozen, not fresh, hash browns that tasted stale and the same Polish sausage. This time they were lukewarm but not very hot. We decided to get breakfast in town. I checked their offerings for the next 3 mornings. The same hash browns, the same Polish sausage and the same temp. Not exactly what we were looking for on a 5-night stay.

Do not stay here. Stay anywhere else in Revy. Manager is deceptive about additional room charges, the grounds are gross and not well kept, the rooms are not clean, the hot tub is broken and the pool is green, there was a boil water advisory when we stayed, we had beetles in our room, and they don’t clean under the beds so the room was dusty. Toilet barely flushed, cheap / dim lighting, noisy AC unit. Save yourself the pain and suffering.

This is the last place I would recommend to stay in Revelstoke. There is nothing about this place that is a resort. Our room was disgusting and had bug crawling on the walls. We couldn't open the windows because the bugs were coming in that way. The toilet didn't work and the AC was also not working. The outside gets zero upkeep and the hot was also not working. Zero communication about that and a water boil notice that was in the area. They will nickel and dime you like crazy for everything. So just spend your money some where else that is closer to town and better.

This Lodge sits with spectacular views of surrounding mountains. If you get a balcony room you can enjoy this from the comfort of an armchair. The beds are great and rooms are clean but sadly that is where the positives end. Never before have I stayed at a hotel with such little furnishings; we have a massive room with no pictures, its baron. In the communal areas inside and out there is no effort to beautify this amazing building; its bare and soulless. I was also disappointed with the amount of single use plastics with the in-room coffee bar and for the continental breakfast. Lastly please note there is NO restaurant for dinner and Revelstokes lacks many dining choices. This is a 4star location with a 2 star experience.
