I have not stayed in a worse motel since I was 18. I paid $187 for what can only be described as a flea bitten sqaller. Balcony floor rotted. Carpets stained and dirty. No bar and no restaurant (as advertised on web site). Seriously the web site is a work of pure fiction. This is a tear down. Put it out of its misery!

Very dirty room, food crumbs on floor, dirty tables, stained carpet, staff unknowledgable and unhelpful. Staff miscommunicated room facilities I wouldn’t recommend staying here, photos on website do not show the truth

The advertising pics are misleading. This place is old, not well kept and the room was not particularly clean. It was however appropriately priced (nice and cheap). It was also quite a way from the main city centre. The bed was very uncomfortable. Breakfast was included, but this meant cereal and toast that you make in your own room. Very basic, but included in the low price. Overall, cheap, basic accommodation.

Econo Lodge is an unremarkable but good motel in an excellent location for accessing the cafes of Margaret St and Picnic Point. Breakfast is included in the price although the cafes nearby are very attractive. Rooms are clean though dated. Bathrooms are spacious, well lit with good mirrors but the tap fittings are ancient. Undercover parking at the door is provided. Quite ok for a couple of nights with very competitive tariff.
