My husband and I stayed at the Red Lion Bed & Breakfast for two nights, joining my cousin and her husband from Pittsburgh for this long-planned weekend excursion to a local festival. The Red Lion B & B was the perfect setting to catch up and relax. Every detail was pitch-perfect, including the immaculate rooms, fluffy terry-cloth robes for our use, the lovingly restored historical home, and the delicious breakfasts that accommodated our vegetarian diet. The grounds are lovely and blooming, and there are a few pretty chickens in their area with night-time coops to keep them safe. Free parking is available on a corner of the property. George, our host, was so helpful in every way, including assisting us with directions to the interesting center of Lancaster and recommendations for lunch.

Went to Red Lion at Horndean, for large family reunion. Superb food, superb service, and would like to thank Matt and his team for the above and beyond service. Thank you so much. Everybody was very happy. Would recommend the Red Lion to everyone. We are now thinking of holding this reunion yearly.

Don’t spend your money with a ****** BIGGET! Spent £80 on drinks, and a friend unfortunately dropped his drink, accidents happen, advised the landlady what happened and that I’d clean it up, she kicked off, got rude, gave us back chat we left! All boils down to colour of our skin, as a local said she don’t like your type! What’s my type? INDIAN? Avoid this place! Greyhound or White Heart pubs are much better and welcoming

We visit regularly to this restaurant the food is always great and the staff are always welcoming and friendly. We always have steak and it never disappoints…… it’s very much a must when we are in the area

An excellent Sunday lunch. Spacious room, clean and well decorated. Roast beef was cooked to perfection. My partner really enjoyed her lamb. Great vegetables. Staff very helpful and pleasant. Large car park. Recommended but lunch for 2 with 2 drinks over £50

We arrived today for a pre booked 70th family birthday meal There were 19 of us and they couldn't of been more attentive. Rhiannon, Brooke and Ethan were fantastic. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience here today, definitely coming back x

Came here last year, returned yesterday for lovely Sunday lunch. Desert to die for. Well recommended. Dogs allowed in pub . Parking outside. Beer garden in back. A must book for Sunday lunch. Staff friendly

I spent the night here while attending the York Model Train Show in York, PA. Red Lion, PA is a small blue collar town. I really wanted to stay closer to the York, PA fairgrounds, but I found this place. It was quite affordable. The owner is very nice, and even walked me up to my suite to make sure I was satisfied with the accommodations. The room was very spacious and had great amenities. The owner asked me what time I wanted breakfast, and at exactly 7:30 a.m., he brought me a breakfast appetizer with my coffee and juice. Just as I finished it, he brought me an egg dish with fruit garnishing it. Quite a classy flare for breakfast. I hope to stay there again in the future.
