Hotels Near Segundo Jardim de Boa Viagem in Recife

We hosted four people (two couples), two apartments, in the last floor, the view of the city and the sea is beautiful, but the glasses were so dirty that they had much to do to enjoy it. The hotel is very good, the building is beautiful, it impresss very well and the apartment is not bad. However, breakfast is served without capricity, everything is ”more or less”. Little agility in replacing pads and cuts. Little bread variety and almost nothing from the local cuisine. . With little attention to the requests and zero sympathy of the staff of the restaurant. Even being hosted in two people (one couple) per apartment, the room service, despite request, did not provide two cups and two cups; only one unit of each!!! And when we requested cuts in the restaurant (to eat a fruit or something like this), we were denied and provided with plastic cuts by paying $5.00 per cut (see photo showing). Unlike what was reported in the reservation, the parking was charged from the part.

Hosting itself was good. The coffee is very simple and has little variety. I asked 02 meals, the first came with the chicken of file to parmegiana in almost all crude, the other meal was good. But the great problem is the closure between the rooms, it is possible to hear absolutely everything that is said or done. I arrived late at the hotel for check in, I made the procedure and I went up completely exhausted of the trip, I went to bath and had no towels available in the room, I called at the reception and told me I had to go withdraw (??) OK. I went down, picked up the towels I asked a coat gave me a bed copper that wasn't heating anything and had no other kind of cover. The room is large but with a screaming smell and no view to any place, since my window was in front of a residential, the bathroom was vacuum water from the box and the discharge was not working, when cleaning the room sometimes did not repair the room Face or floor towel, pq NOT HAVE been available, next to the hotel has a hamburger that leaves the place impregnated with fat smell all the time, coffee is well basic and repeated and to close with gold key missed energy for two days at the hotel with no return forecast, I was in the city at work I had to move to my base in the middle of the pq rain I could not advance my things from the hotel, I informed that I needed support because of the work to deliver and simply not to They exchanged me from hotel, arguing that they had no vacancies, the pool was in maintenance throughout the period I was there and there was only one lift working that at the coffee time I often went down from PQ stairs beyond the delay, was getting stuck. The chaos people dropped down with huge bags on the emergency staircase to get out of that place.As my own was already paid by the company, I had no choice and I had to stay 14 days in that mouse they call the hotel. My stay extended for 44 days but I went to another hotel that gave me the minimum comfort. The only thing that ”saves” is the service of the staff, all have always been very educated, at the reception, at the coffee and during cleaning, but it's all sad.

Worst experience of my life, after 61 years of traveling around the world this is by far the worst place I ever stayed. I booked via Booking a week and after one day I had to go look for another hotel. It was flooding water in the room from windows and walls, the structure is rotten as you can see from the pictures. Staff was arrogant and liar, totally lack of customer orientation and intimacy. Lack of empathy, they were only able to propose a downgrade to a much inferior room (we booked the most expensive suite) or proposing a refund if we would leave the hotel. This is what we did and then they started refusing to refund, I had to call booking and I am still waiting to get my money back after more then a week. This hotel should be shutdown by authorities as it does not meet minimum safety requirements, the water in the room could cause electric hazard. The building needs a full renovation, it is not in a condition to operate! Staff was totally unhelpful, a terrible experience, I had to call the police to protect my rights, a real nightmare!! Don't go to this hotel !!!!

Room does not match the photos! Super old bedroom and bathroom facilities! The bathroom doesn't have a shower, what it did have was a curtain that gets in the way when taking a shower!

It's not only bad, it's depressing, bad, broken bed, window falling, TV cable crossing the floor of the room, electric shower, only one shot worked in the room .... and much more. Breakfast very bad, not closed door, horrible quality synthetic fabric bed, tergal type, unreal room floor .Finally ... There is absolutely no positive point.

Excellent hotel, beach view, excellent service, excellent service, great location, close to Recife shopping center, supermarkets, bars and restaurants!

It's a good hotel, but I found the room very small. I was working and I had to use notebook in the bed msm pq there was no table. The bathroom is big, it ends up being disproportionate. My room was the ground floor, on the main street, so I was very noisy qnd passed bikes or trucks. It was not a bad experience, but it is far from the best I've ever hosted. Breakfast also with few options. It's good to stay on the side of a supermarket, and near the North American consulate, well to anyone who is the Recife to apply for visa.

Of all the 4-5 star hotels we stayed at during our February 2024 tour of the Northeast Brazil, Villa d'Oro near Olinda was the plainest, least memorable experience. Small rooms, basic breakfasts, cheap furniture, a miniature pool, and minimum service sums it all up. Ironically, Villa D' Oro charged us more than other really nice hotels and resorts that we stayed at in Recife, Praia Pipa and Natal, likely because of the Olinda carnival, which was happening while we visited. Villa D'Oro is just an OK place to sleep and that's that, no value enhancement, not even smiles at the front-desk and definitely an overpriced basic hotel that we would likely not be staying at again now that we have discovered less expensive resorts that offer so much more value. Take it for what it is, just a small, clean, safe hotel that offers a 2-3 star experience, and as long as you have no great expectations, you would he ok with it.
