Our small group of six elderly people just returned from one week in wonderful Ravello. We loved our stay in hotel Bonadies, an old, charming hotel with quiet location, walking distanse to everything and breathtaking surroundings. Our room was facing the sea, had no balcony but with very easy access to beautiful roof terrasses where we had our morning coffe. The rooms were cleaned every day by an always smiling and hardworking lady, who made sure we had everything we needed. The whole staff in the hotel was always very plesant and helpful, which made a difference as one in the party was partly disabled. Breakfast was good, and we can also recommend dinner in the restaurant which we had twice. If we should wish for a change, it would be that the opening hours for the pool was longer. The pool area opened at 0900 and closed at 1730. We understand that they needed a safety guard present, but this has never been an issue anywhere else. Also if it is possible to install a handicap ramp in connection with the main entrance? It would make it easier for a person with handicap walker. Apart from that, be aware that as soon as you get a bit outside the senter of Ravello there are steps everywhere. Try some of the small, narrow paths along the hillsides, it is breathtaking. Also the steps down to Minori. It is worth the time. The busses are not always on time, which is understandable when you see the horrible traffic going up and down the hill. We also several times experienced that we didnt get on the bus at all, from Amalfi and Minori, because it was already full. Taking a taxi is VERY expencive, but what do you when you have already waited two hours for the bus. Take the steps back up to Ravello. But at the end of the day it is all worth it, wonderful Ravello. A nice place to eat by the way is Ristorante Pizzeria Palazzo Della Marra along the lower road to Piazza Duomo, specially the small garden.
