Fantastic location, friendly and helpful staff. Lovely food, very child friendly and breathtaking views of the Amalfi Coast. I can’t fault the hotel. The beds are extremely comfortable and the kids loved the pool. We enjoyed 9 nights in a family suite.

Abbiamo soggiornato in questo bellissimo hotel affacciato sulla costiera amalfitana per quattro giorni. Stanza ampia pulita, bagno con vasca e doccia, terrazzo vista mare. Colazione ricca salata e dolce con prodotti locali squisiti. La grande fantastica terrazza della sala colazione con vista costiera arricchisce la location. Le foto parlano da sole. Spero di tornarci.

It’s an OK hotel but it’s tired, TV never worked, service is slow, location is great and room is adequate but not spectacular. Water was expensive unnecessarily. Restaurant is average and menu contrived, seems more what the family wants not what guests want. Clean, noisy 2 floor room in the morning. I wouldn’t return until they clean it up a bit!

The hotel is listed as a four star hotel but in terms of quality and amenities the hotel is anything but. Not to mention that located in ravello the weather gets very hot and the air conditions in the room are not adequate and for most of my stay I was uncomfortable with the heat in my room. Even though there is a thermostat in the room, it does absolutely nothing and the front desk actually controls the temperature of the room and didn’t turn on my unit until the next day I was there when I complained that I cannot stay in my room any longer.

We spent a week at Villa Fraulo, and we just loved it. The staff is amazing and so friendly, the breakfast delicious and the scenery of the hotel just breath taking. Would love to come back.

Villa Frail is a rather confusing sort of hotel. It could be really fabulous but somehow isn't quite as good as it appears on first impressions. We came from three nights at Villa Cimbrone which is sensational and far more expensive so perhaps comparison is a bit unfair. Having said that, at £320 per night it is by no means a bargain. The fabric of the building is great and the views from terrace and bedrooms are sensational. The location is also superb, within a short distance from the main square and the upmarket eateries of Rossellini's and the Hotel Caruso. The rooms are comfortable enough and the bathrooms are nice without being exceptional, with a few serious design flaws (glass door to the toilet, if opened outwards, hit the marble basin. Very worried about it breaking...) and a really annoying motion sensitive light which filled the room with bright light in the night if anyone got up to go to the bathroom then took (it =felt like) ages to turn off again. The staff were friendly and helpful to a point, but difficult to communicate with before arrival, not really answering e mails (I would recommend using WhatsApp if possible. You may get a better response). Breakfast was satisfactory without being exceptional but the views from the terrace made up for any shortcomings. Overall we had a very pleasant stay, and it is a good hotel if you want a comfortable place in an exceptional location, but I do think that with a little effort and not much expenditure this hotel could be sensational.

We zijn voor onze honeymoon naar Ravello gereisd en hebben geboekt bij Hotel Villa Fraulo. Prettige communicatie voor onze aankomst en ze reageerde ontzettend snel op onze vragen en verzoeken. Zeer dienstverlenend. Een zeer vriendelijke Ivo heeft onze transfer van de luchthaven in Napels naar het hotel geregeld en terug. Hij stond keurig op tijd te wachten op ons, dus we konden gelijk door. Top kerel met goede suggesties en eerlijke adviezen over de omgeving, restaurants etc. De kamers waren keurig. Het hotel is prachtig, waanzinnig uitzicht. We wisten niet wat we zagen bij aankomst bij de receptie. De eerste avond hebben we in het restaurant gegeten van het hotel, buiten met opnieuw een onbeschrijfelijk mooi uitzicht en top service. Niets was te veel en we zijn enorm in de watten gelegd. Met zelfs nog een glaasje prosecco van het hotel bij het dessert vanwege onze honeymoon. Het ontbijt is meer dan we hadden verwacht. Heel uitgebreid met elke dag wel iets anders. Echt van genoten! De kamer was netjes (misschien klein beetje gedateerd), ruime badkamer en een heerlijk bad en goede stort douche. De locatie is Ravello is uitstekend. In een paar minuten loop je zo het centrum in. We konden alles lopend doen. We zijn enorm blij met onze keuze voor dit hotel. Super service en ongelooflijk lieve en vriendelijke medewerkers die super behulpzaam waren. Super bedankt!! We gaan deze plek nooit vergeten.
