I was very pleased with the hotel. Cleanliness everywhere, comfortable bed, silence in the room. I really liked the breakfast, a lot of choice, everything was fresh. I will definitely come back if I'm in Dusseldorf again.

Nachdem wir im Februar schon vor unserem Flug zwei Nächte hier verbrachten, erlebten wir heute morgen nach einem Nachtflug aus der Karibik eine einmalige Überraschung: wir durften sofort um 8 Uhr einchecken und sogar noch kostenlos das Frühstück einnehmen. We booked this hotel at the last minute for 2 nights mid November. After reading some reviews, we asked for a room around the back, away from the road. That turned out to be unnecessary as the whole hotel is quite quiet due to quality double glazing and solid construction. Yes, it is under the flight path of Dusseldorf Airport, but that has a curfew from 11pm - 6am and most of the time the flights going overhead are landing (and therefore quieter). We wore earplugs anyway but we probably didn't need to. The view outside our room (#210) was sublime with yellow autumn leaves on all the trees and ground. There is a beautifull park out the back, with a walking trail for several kms. We found the room extremely spacious, with an excellent and supportive King Size Bed. There was so much room for our large suitcases, and the storage options with cupboards and shelving are thoughtfully designed. The large and bright bathroom has a really big bathtub! The hot water is fast and very hot, and the fittings are solid but tasteful. We found the branded bath towels to be super thick and comfy, great work! The bathroom has a good door, so we left the bathroom light on all night with just a sliver of light underneath to help us see our way in the dark. The checkin staff were helpful and patient with our German upon arrival. We would like to commend Herr Dievernich for his warm welcome and Frau Hartmann for her friendliness. The bus stop (Bus #751)is directly outside to get you to the local station called Hosel. We would like to commend this hotel for employing some more mature staff who we found to be warm and patient and seemed genuinely interested in us.

Great hotel with friendly staff, clean environment, good breakfast and convenient parking in the garage with discount. Location nearby the Japanese street and shopping street.

L'hôtel est extrêmement excentré. Cela ne semblait pas être un problème à la réservation dans la mesure où l'hôtel est supposé être plutôt bien desservi par les transports. Cependant, l'hôtel déclare être à deux minutes du métro. Cette station est en effet présente, mais est la dérivation d'une ligne avoisinante. La station est fermée le soir et le dimanche et est désservie une fois toute les 30 minutes. Une autre station à 7 minutes de marche à pied dans un quartier d'affaire et désert le soir (et donc pas très sécurisant) s'impose donc la plupart du temps, et l'hôtel omet cette information de son site. De plus, cette autre station n'est désservie que toutes les 20 minutes. Comptez donc au moins une demi-heure pour rejoindre le centre-ville, ce qui réduit toute possibilité de repasser à l'hôtel pour se changer avant d'aller dîner par exemple. L'accueil est plutôt amical, mais la réceptionniste qui était présente pendant la quasi-totalité de mon séjour semblait de moins en moins sympathique lorsqu'on avait besoin d'elle. Par exemple, je ne parvenais pas à faire fonctionner le coffre-fort et visiblement elle non plus. Aucun mode d'emploi n'était mis à la disposition des clients ni du personnel semble-t-il. Une atre personne est venue voir si elle pouvait faire quelque chose et devait revenir vers moi, mais cela n'a jamais été le cas. J'ai donc dû me débrouiller moi-même. En attendant de trouver une solution le 2ème jour, j'ai dû confier certains de mes effets personnels à la réception afin qu'ils soient entreposés dans le coffre fort central. En raison de clients ayant fumé dans leur chambre d'après les membres du personnel de l'hôtel, le signal d'alarme à été automatiquement activé pendant la première nuit, et nous avons tous dû être évacués, dans la rue, avec une température de 10°C. Je dois dire que j'ai été impressionné par la réactivité du personnel qui à distribué des couvertures aux enfants et qui s'est montré à l'écoute des interrogations des clients en revenant dans l'hôtel. J'ajoute qu'ils semblait bien connaître et appliquer à la lettre un plan d'urgence. Le petit déjeuner était de belle qualité.

Have stayed here for one night. The hotel was not very busy. There is lots of free parking around the hotel so dont use the garage. Room was nice and had a great view. As a Spire IHG member I got a free breakfast and free drinks and snack at the bar. Not far from the city if you are with a car. Really good value.

Excellent hotel, greatly located just next to Duisburg Main Station. Modern, calm, close to public transportation. Hotel security is excellent, access is controlled 24 hours, facility accessible only for hotel guests. The team is very attentive, professional, efficient and well trained. Room size is bigger than standard for same hotel category. The hotel is very clean, both the public areas and the room. Bathroom modern and well equipped. I will definitely stay there again next time in the area. Definitely with my recommendations.

Wir waren hier mit Freunden um einen Geburtstag in der Nähe zu feiern. Das Hotel liegt in einer industriell genutzten Gegend etwas abgelegen. Es ist deswegen ausgesprochen ruhig in der Gegend. Das Haus ist recht neu und funktionell eingerichtet. Die Zimmer sind recht gross und sauber und die Betten sind bequem. Das Frühstücksangebot war nicht sonderlich reichlich, aber ausreichend. Zum Hotel gehört ein beschrankter Parkplatz für 12 Euro, den benötigt man nicht unbedingt, es gibt in der eher einsamen Gegend auch kostenlose Parkmöglichkeiten. Das Hotel wird mit minimalem Personaleinsatz betrieben, das war kein Nachteil. Alle Mitarbeiter, mit denen wir Kontakt hatten, waren ausgesprochen freundlich und hilfsbereit. Für etwas unter 100 Euro haben wir eine sehr gute Übernachtung erhalten.

When we checked in; 1 agent checked us in while the other 2 just stared at us like we were aliens. One of them had a smirk on their face throughout my check-in, I wanted to ask what she thought was so funny with us checking into the hotel but I didn’t want to spoil the evening. They all started laughing when we left the checkin desk. Know that we are non-European. Very unwelcoming and unprofessional. I suggest cultural diversity training. The beds were disgusting! Small strips of hair all over the fitted sheet. The Most Disgusting was the pee stain on the sheets! The bed smelled like piss too. It was supposed to be non-smoking but someone had been smoking in the room or the insulation/vent systems need more work. I didn’t want to deal with the unprofessional front desk staff so I suffered through the uncleanliness and just put 2 towels on top of the duvet just to feel at ease sleeping, even though we were only there for one night…Thank God I didn’t book for longer. The only positive was breakfast; it was adequate for 1 night stay. Definitely won’t be spending another dime here.
