We've stayed at this hotel numerous times and it's really gone downhill in the last year. Room clearly hadn't been cleaned, found multiples cockroaches, we showed these to them and they continued to deny there was an issue. Then they accused my brother-in-law, a literal entomologist, of not knowing what a cockroach looks like. We only asked for a room change, we were denied, and when we politely pressed the issue they threatened to call the cops on us. Also found a French fry, nose *****, and macaroni all on the floor of the room.

Stayed here for two nights with a group visiting Lancaster. The location is definately out of the way from the craziness of route 30’ right in Lancaster. That is a positive for some and a negative for others. However, definitely the nicest comfort inn that I have ever seen. It is new built, and the rooms are extremely nice. I was not expecting much due to the name and location, however, myself, and all of the group were very pleased with the service from their staff and the new, comfortable rooms. If the location meets your needs, I would certainly recommend this property. There are several Comfort Inn hotels located in the same proximity, so be sure to book the location in Manheim.

This hotel is right off the PA turnpike, I pulled in after a long day of driving at 10:30pm. Wish I would have kept going the extra hour. Was up and on the road by 7 working in Philadelphia, welts and bites started presenting throughout the day. Bedbug bites on my hands shoulders and legs. I called the hotel to let them know and a very non business like person didn't even want to know what room. It was a sad experience. Plus the whole place is pretty run down.

Choice Hotels wanted my feedback after I stayed here. So I submitted the following feedback. This hotel's management responded with an email and said my complaints were "exaggerated and untrue." It seems to me that most of the reviews posted here on TripAdvisor and the Choice Hotel's website about this hotel have been pretty bad for at least three or four years, and many others are complaining about the same things I have. And in my opinion, the Choice Hotel Corporation either hasn't noticed how bad the complaints are about this franchisee or they just don't care. So I won't be taking chances and staying at their hotels any more. Here's my feedback/review I gave them: Dark and worn out hotel. Staff not very friendly. This hotel has an obvious staffing problem and the management wants to cut as many corners as they can get away with to save money. Lost all water pressure for 20 seconds while I was showering and had soap in my eyes and hair. I had to be asked to be moved to a different room on the second day because it was windy and an exhaust flap on the exterior of my room starting flapping so loudly that it woke me up from a nap. Apparently, the staff knew about this issue but put me in the room even though the hotel was nearly empty during my two nights there. Water pressure in the second room was so weak that I was barely able to take a shower. The "free breakfast" was much worse than ones provided by other hotels that I've stayed at, including Comfort Inns. I'm not a coffee drinker so the orange juice was important to me, but it was watered down so much that it was almost plain water with some yellow coloring added to it. It was slightly better the next day. There's nothing interesting to do nearby so I wanted to use the fitness room. The only machine that interested me was an elliptical machine that was broken. The heat in the room was also turned off and it was cold. I normally don't care about WiFi but I wanted to watch a movie on my laptop. The WiFi was so slow, even though the hotel was nearly empty on a weekend, that I had to reduce the picture quality considerably. TV was nearly worthless because the hotel doesn't want to spend money on cable. So there was only a limited selection of over-the-air HDTV channels. Some of the lights in the lobby were turned off and it was so dark I had to use my phone's flashlight to look at some of the brochures for nearby attractions. The lobby was unpleasant and it had a right-wing news channel on the TV. I decided to save about $100 over two nights by staying at this Comfort Inn instead of going to the Hampton Inn where I usually stay, which is about the same distance from the Expo center. I won't be making that mistake again. I don't normally write reviews but I'm so unhappy about my stay that I'll be telling the world about it on TripAdvisor.

Unfortunately, there is a reason their rates are so low. Having stayed there soon after the hotel was built years ago, this was our first time back when rooms were hard to come by in early July 2023. It will be our last time at this hotel. The hotel is short staffed (night manager was there in the morning), my requested King-Size bed room was not available, the carpets had stains in the elevator and our room. Breakfast consisted of cold-microwavable sandwiches, bananas, apples and bagels and bread. For a relatively new hotel, it was not fresh. The hallways were dim and the rooms only had 2 lamps (maybe to hide the hideous carpet). Maybe this is what The Comfort Inn brand is shooting for; a cheap but dirty, dingy and dark experience. Will plan better, and avoid this hotel when traveling back in the future. One note; the night manager/day manager dude was nice....but that could not make up for the fact that the facility was not up to acceptable standards. Never again.

Booked this hotel due to its proximity to the Ren Faire. I have stayed at other Comfort Inns, with no issues, but this one changed my mind. We arrived after being at the Ren Faire which was next-door. We checked in(the lady that checked us in was great), and we went to our room. Sat inthe chair to make a call , and part way thru the call I noticed a bug crawling across the bed. My wife got it with a tissue and went to the front desk. The bug appeared to be a cockroach, and the lady at the desk called the manager on the phone. After some discussion they decided to refund our money. There was no way we were going to stay there after that. You would expect if they are charging $250 a night that that sort of thing would not happen especially when you have a place next-door that has thousands of people visiting during the Ren faire.

I cannot really complain too much since the hotel was close to the Pa Ren and after spending a day there we were spent. The place was not extremely clean but wasn’t the worst Choice Hotel we ever stayed in. Slept, showered and ate the adequate breakfast. The staff was friendly and helpful. If I was at the Pa Ren again after a day of drinking, I would consider this place again. Not great, not horrible.

First and lasttime will stay here.....even though we will attend the Renaissance Faire more than once a year. I had paid in well in advance for 1 King Size Bed Room I went to check-in that and found that the manager herself changed my room to accommodate someone else with a 2 Queen Size Bed Room...No Call No Consideration. However the Night Employee on duty provided a solution by giving me a 2 Queen Bed Suite....And I Thanked Him... Stay many places being that I traveled extensively. The room well near minimumaly cleaned, tiny, bathroom not well maintained and well I seen much better cleaned. The shower faucets handle fallsoff when taking a shower but goes back on . Informed clerk but no one to service till morning. I was told the manager would be in the morning. However they were not available when I went to check out. I also attempted with the morning clerk to ask why my credit card had been charged $269 twice now..One for when I got the guaranteed rate and room 3 weeks prior, but also recently another $269 when the manager changed my room without notice. The mornings desk clerk says it would be cleared up....Well I've heard that before and anticipate having to contact in the next 5 days... But this Choice Hotel Affiliate should be your last choice, and my next comin up stay near Mt Hope PA will be elsewhere too bad the Hampton closed....

The property has a pool, but it has been out of service for two plus years. The site shows pool and spa in the written description. But they pulled it from the amenities, to get away with it. On the plus if you hate seeing staff on your trip, this is the place. Only saw staff on check in after calling the number and again on checkout. The place was a tomb.
