Te Mao ★★★

📍 BP 143 Avatoru Rangiroa Atoll, Rangiroa

"A nice basic place to stay in a quiet, convenient area. This lodging is only a few minutes from the airport, useful for withdrawing cash at the only ATM. Also, a few minutes bike ride to a small store to get basic supplies. There is a small restaurant opposite this store too. The room is simple, clean and quiet. The bed was comfortable. There was a kettle and fridge. There is a garden also with two seating areas. Some of the rooms have a patio with seating. I didn't have one of these. You may need to request one. The women working there doing the greeting, key delivery and house keeping were pleasant, essentially French speaking, we spoke in French. There are bicycles available with an extra charge. These are very useful for getting around the island. Rangiroa is a very simple island. The way of life is at a much slower pace with a very laid back attitude. This is reflected in Te Mao."

"Me and my husband booked 3 nights at the lodge but unfortunately we only get 1 night and half off the next day. It was short but we loved it so much, the room,, the outdoor veranda and the beach. We wanted to stay there more so next time when we will be back to visit Tikehau we will make a stoop at this wonderful lodge Big thanks for this short but wonderful stay and will be back for sure Emma and Michael from Sweden"

Va'a i te Moana ★★★

📍 BP356, Rangiroa

"I rated it average because we received a warm welcome and the employees were so nice that I couldn't rate it mediocre. We stayed for a week. We had a bungalow with windows without mosquito nets that were rusty and stuck with no way of closing them. Needless to say, the mosquitoes had a field day with us. And what had to happen, happened. I caught dengue fever the day we left and I was sick like I've rarely been in my life. A month and a half later I still have after-effects and I can tell you that it ruined the last 15 days of my stay. I went to see the guesthouse's website and the welcome provided by the family as advertised on the website is not at all what we experienced. We never saw the owners who should be a little more worried about the deterioration of their accommodation. I want to say again that the employees were impeccable and as kind as we encountered throughout our trip to Polynesia, but they do what they can and it is clear that there is a flagrant disinterest from the owners for their business."

Aotera Guest House ★★★

📍 BP143 Pension Aotera, Rangiroa

"Disgusting food, rats in the restaurant during dinner, bed bugs, very dirty place, the food is not hygiene and awful bad quality. Owners don’t have any hospitality or kindness. I really don’t understand why the owners run a guesthouse. They seem not be interested in their customers. Is there any quality enforcement or inspection of official third parties of this place?"

Le Maitai Rangiroa

Le Maitai Rangiroa ★★★

📍 BP 17, Rangiroa

"The showers were rooms with still hair inside, the floor cleanness of the WC was very medium... Bikes paying at an exorbitant price while all the pensions around them offer them free to their customers, like for airports shipping services. The hotel is very comfortable and comfortable and is very comfortable and comfortable."

"We stayed in the Lagoon side Bungalow's All 5 couples had the same accommodations. Rooms were clean and well laid out. We had a minor issue with ants that was taken care of quickly, just don't keep food in your bungalow. Also if you leave your sliding door open you may have an unexpected guest gecko running around too. Grounds were clean and well taken care of. We had half board meal plans, and that worked well. There is a bar on the premises, but we took full advantage of the market next door(walking distance) for additional beverages and snacks for Happy Hour on out patio for the group. This resort has a pool, and great snorkeling right off the dock. Restaurant was very good to us and had a good variety of choices for breakfast. They always had a table for us set up for both Breakfast and Dinner. The dinner menu was really good, with many different choices. FP can't cook a steak to save themselves, but that is not what you want here. The Lamb Shank was awesome, as was many of the other choices. They of course had a number of fish plates, the Tuna was prepared well and melt in your mouth. Duck, pork, and a couple different pasta meals were also on the menu. The resort had a few bicycles that you could use to tour the island. The island is small, so biking around can get you most places. Transportation is available for the Black Pearl Farm, and a couple other excursions. We walked to the neighboring resort for their Polynesian Dancers event one night, nice time, fun to watch. Overall, a good stay while in Rangiroa"

"Our stay at Le Coconut Lodge was exceptional. Audrey and Sophie went out of their way to make our stay and incredible one, and I had some odd requests. The food, beach location, and amenities leave you lacking for nothing. I cannot recommend more highly."

Va'a i te Moana ★★★
"Va’a i te Moana was a wonderful experience! We enjoyed our bungalow very much, and our host Cynthia was so happy to greet us and offer some recommendations each morning during breakfast for our daily adventures. The location is a very easy walk to Tiputa Pass to watch dolphins and to enjoy a range of meals, from simple pizza to fancy 3 course dinners. Cynthia’s breakfasts (coconut bread, coffee, fruit juice, pancakes, yogurt, tropical fruit jam and marmalade) were always a delicious way to begin every day! We visited in the summer (mid-December) and it was very hot, but Cynthia was happy to let us use an extra fan for our bungalow since they are not air conditioned. If the rooms did have air conditioning, it would have been perfect! We appreciated the small refrigerator in our room to keep our water cold and we had everything to make morning coffee in our bungalow. The free bicycles to use were rusty but they worked for us and were charming for the island experience! Cynthia was incredible- we thank her very much for an amazing stay on Rangiroa. We highly recommend Va’a i te Moana!"

"Thanks to Marco and Erika for their welcome. The organisation at the downstairs of a plane with a taxi (taught in charge) and then the boat taxi (counting 400francs per person) Marco was waiting for us at the ship. The hotel is located in the heart of the city centre and is located in the heart of the city centre. We have made breakfasts at home. We chose for dinner. A real delicious . Marco and Erika have spent us. Don't forget the car loan included in the price a real top for people who are unskilled in bike or unsportsy. We love being in this loge."

"The rooms are small, dirty and full of bugs. There is no hot water and the taps are caked and dirty. The glass entrance door does not lock from the outside so you cannot leave objects in the room because anyone can enter. There is not even a wardrobe in the room."

"Right next to the lagoon, and the option to a lagoon view bungalow you can fall asleep to the sound of the waves of the lagoon. The lagoon view bungalow has all you need, and an authentic look. It’s quiet and cozy with a private terrace on the seaside."
