Excellent place, quiet area, reliable owner and available to give all the information even with a guided video to get around the city. And not just reporting the best restaurants in the area without using the car. Recommended

Alessia went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable. We were even able to check in a bit early, which went seamless. I was a bit shocked at first by all the stairs we were going to have to climb, but managed fine, even with my husbands bad knee. Alessia gave us a list of great places to stay and a video of how to get to certain areas. She was very informative. If we ever had questions she responded to our chats immediately. Her husband Frank came by the day we were checking out to carry down our bags since this was a concern for us. So appreciated that. The unit was nice and clean and it was nice to sit on the patio and listen to everything going on below. I was concerned about parking, but not once did we have to search for a place to park. Very relaxing and welcoming. Thank-you Alessia and Frank for such a wonderful stay.

This was our second stay with the folks who own and manage Pura Vida Barocca. It is a very comfortable stay. The bed is perfectly comfortable, and the kitchen is set up for vacation cooking. We used it every evening! It was a very pleasant walk into other parts of Ragusa, and we enjoyed our time.

We had the top floor room (there is just one per floor). It had a great outdoor patio area, a furnished kitchen, a spacious bathroom, and comfy bed. The owners are very helpful and responsive to all doubts. The principal booking site currently has over 100 very positive reviews for this same place so critics of Frank and Alessia's hotel are definitely in the minority. This is a nice neighborhood with a few moderately-priced dining options. The Pinocchio Pizzeria is cheap and tasty for takeout and very tasty while the Taverna di Lupo is a great option if you wish to eat at a restaurant.
