The deluxe family room is very large, with a large balcony and smart toilet. There are two swimming pools in the yard, one of which is full of seaweed. The service was very enthusiastic and timely. The only thing was that the sewer smell was so bad that I couldn't cover it up with freshener.

This hotel is very close to a beautiful beach which is a plus, however this hotel seems to be just for chineses guest, the staff didn't speak English and though they tried to do their best this was dissapointing about a Hilton hotel, is the first time when something so basic such as asking for the menu in the restaurant or basic questions such as the ckeck in or check out time, if they could provide me more complementary water, etc, could not do it because I could not communicate with them properly.

The check-in experience was very good. I was upgraded to a Jimu twin room for free. The bedding and pillows were very comfortable and clean. The children had a very comfortable stay!
The table is also equipped with a wireless charging pad, which is very user-friendly!

Excellent hotel, I would highly recommend anybody visiting Shanhaiguan to stay here.
The building is beautiful and includes a mini museum exhibition of calligraphy and lovely gardens. The room was clean, comfortable and provided 6 bottles of complementary water.
The staff were friendly and helpful, even letting me check out at 2pm since I had a 3pm train to Dalian.
Location wise the hotel is situated right next to the first gate under Heaven tourist area. You can get a good view of the gate even from the hotel courtyard, also walkable to restaurants and the drum tower just a couple hundred meters away.
Lastly it’s just a short taxi ride from the rail station (1.6km/5min/8rmb) and laolongtou Great Wall section (7km/15min/15rmb).

GGuest UserBeautiful environment, attentive service. After informing me of my family's birthday, they helped decorate the room and gave me a birthday gift. I was very touched. The castle's characteristic arched windows and exterior scenery are very fairy-tale-like. There are many wedding photos taken here. There are also special grapes and handmade products. GGabi NettoJ had a lovely stay at the Argyle resort and the fact that you just need to cross the parking lot to get to the Dongshan Bathing Spot is definitely amazing! There are some tourist attractions close by, but very far from historical sites.
The room was ok, but it looked different from the pictures. Probably a bit of mold on the wall or water damage, dirty windows, and a piece of the wardrobe door was broken. Not what I would expect at a resort.
The breakfast had so many options, but very few western choices, limited to sliced bread, butter and jam, yogurt, fruits and coffee. The coffee machine always had an issue, but the staff quickly came to fix it. During my stay there, everyday someone complained about the coffee maker.
One of the things that I found really nice is that every day they would bring or leave fruit in my room. But on the last day, I was sleeping, and someone came in. She did apologize, but it was weird having someone in your room while you’re there.
In terms of amenities, they have everything really! From shower cap to razors. And the blow dryer was really good!
Because it was golden week, the staff was overwhelmed with work (lots of guests and weddings) and they didn’t talk about the facilities - gym, pool, hot springs.

GGuest UserI recently stayed in room 3129 at this hotel and overall, I had a good experience. The location is excellent as it sits right in front of the beach. The hotel also has a hot spring which is a nice addition, although some areas were not functioning properly due to being broken.
The reception staff was very attentive and friendly, particularly one male employee. However, it seemed that the female staff members were not as willing to work.
I highly recommend trying the massage services offered at the hotel. I had a neck and back massage which left me satisfied.
The breakfast buffet was decent and the dining room supervisor and the reception staff at the buffet were friendly and hardworking. Most of the cooks and servers provided good service.
I would also recommend paying for the dinner buffet as it offers a wide variety of seafood. The only downside was a young grill cook who lacked proper manners when I asked a question about the food. He responded lazily and rudely. Additionally, there was a young waitress with a tattoo on her leg who seemed uninterested in working. While the rest of her colleagues were cleaning and setting up tables, she would simply join them and sit down or play with her mobile phone.
In terms of the room, the cleanliness was below the minimum standard. It was quite neglected, as they only mopped the floor and it still wasn't clean. There were hairs from previous guests throughout the room. The private hot spring in the room could also use some improvement.

NNooshinIt was my husband birthday and booked Shangri-la, It was very clean and have a stunning view. The room has a nice smell. The reception was very cheerful, and they all could speak English. I requested a birthday theme for my husband's birthday and they designed the room with some towel, also send a free cake and red wine. ( I have to mention, Thank you dears)
The breakfast was very delicious. We also tried the Buffet dinner one night, it was very delicious with both choices Chinese and Western.
The swimming pool was clean.

AAmyshigedayangqiThis is an easy-to-go trip, this time mainly focused on staying in a hotel. Who knows the fun of staying in a hotel during the off-season? ! There is no doubt about the quality of Marriott. Local friends said it is the best 6-star Burj Al Arab hotel in the area. The buffet dinner has a rich variety and the desserts are highly recommended. I saw the most perfect sunrise the next day, had breakfast, and ordered pancakes twice... I went there. Went to the Internet celebrity bookstore Cat’s Sky City opposite, everything was perfect! Finally, I asked for bread at the front desk to feed the seagulls. There was always a Siberian seagull stopping for you. It was romantic and free!

AArtsemView from the window is disgusting, a lot of garbage on the streets out there, box houses, feels like a ghetto.
Working table and some surfaces were full of dust.
At the same time the staff is very polite. There were some problems at checin with passports verification, and room key become disabled at some point. So staff helped with these.
Breakfast was ok, not strong varied, but tasty and hearthy.
At night main entrance is closed, you'll need to use sideway entrance (follow near 24/7 label)

It's not far from Maoye, Qinhuang Alley, Underwater World, etc. The room is quite big, and you can see that it's quite old. There is a rich breakfast, an indoor swimming pool, a gym, a laundry room, and a paid children's playground. It's a pity that the hotel is not well built in the direction of a resort, wasting such a good location. The lobby is on the first floor. If it's a little higher on the second or third floor, you can see the sea. There is a terrace outside the sea-viewing bar on the fifth floor, which is locked and not open during the day. What sea can you see in the dark at night?

In this beautiful season of April, pear and peach blossoms are in full bloom in front of the hotel, and several internet celebrities are seen taking pictures. HHuaersanqianFinally, I took my mother and brother to Arcadia for a vacation. The two-day and one-night experience was really perfect.
The housekeeper thoughtfully upgraded our room. The big bed was replaced with a standard room. It was more convenient to bring children. It was surprisingly on the first floor. There was a swimming pool outside, and the lawn was on the right. It took two minutes to reach the sea. The children were so excited!
The room was also very clean. It was a real experience. Don't pay attention to the bad reviews😻
The children ran wildly on the big lawn all afternoon. We adults leisurely faded away the fatigue of 6 days of adjustment, and my mother had a lot of fun.
The night was also great. There were small live concerts and a bonfire party at the beach. It was super fun. I got up early in the morning and went to the beach to catch the sea. The children dug a lot of small 🦀. Cute big dogs and small dogs were everywhere on the lawn❤️
My father didn't come this time. I will definitely bring the whole family next time✌
P.s There are many delicious foods nearby. You can walk or drive, and it is economical. The hotel breakfast is also very rich!

GGuest UserIt was such an unique experience to stay in a hotel inside the ancient city wall, it felt like travelled back to China in the olden days.
As it was off-peak season when we visited 山海关，we were upgraded to a family room, which mean there is a separate bedroom with a single bed, on top of a master room with a double bed.
As it was rather cold and we were tired from all the walking, we decided to make life easy by eating at the restaurant within the hotel. We didn't expect much though. But..., we were much much more than surprise the dishes were Ace standard, be it in presentation or taste! A big big thumb up!
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. All in all, we really enjoyed the service extended to us! It is no doubt hotel staff in China places their guests at top priority, making them feel at home at all times.
P.S the teapot was not filled with tea but a yummilicious 松茸汤。
