The staff were fantastic at this hotel, they are some of the loveliest people I have met! So welcoming and happy, amazing service, breakfast was also very good. The issue I felt was the room size was not worth the price rate. I stay in many hotels in this area and for this room rate I can get much larger rooms at different hotels. For a short one night stay I would recommend but for longer stays I would say the room size is not quite adequate. Great staff and vibe though.

Well, Crown Plaza is our usual our favorite hotel and also our first-choice hotel in Qingdao city and naturally chose the Crowne Plaza Qingdao again. The hotel hasn’t lost any of its avantgarde charm. Furthermore, the employees are still as professional and helpful as I remember them from the last time (this time I would like to mention Ms. Fanny from the front desk, hassel-free check in that was quick and we were given a free upgrade) . The rooms are spacious, and the amenities will cater to every whim. The convenient location is an added bonus, which doesn’t need to be mentioned separately as the hotel location which is near to five four squares.

The location is excellent, very close to the subway station, and close to attractions such as the May Fourth Square. It is within walking distance. It is very convenient to eat and buy things around. The hotel service is super good, especially the housekeeper service is very considerate. The breakfast and late-night porridge are very nice. The departure time on the last day was very early, and they would pack breakfast for the way. The breakfast was especially good. Basically, there are all kinds of food in a five-star hotel, and the boiled shrimp is a surprise! In addition to mineral water, the daily gifts also include Coke, Oriental Leaves, etc.! It is really considerate! In general, this hotel is really good, and I will definitely stay here again when I come to Qingdao for a second visit next time!

Hotel location, breakfast and service are excellent. We arrived late and was served dessert brought to our room. It was a delightful surprise.
The only setback is the toilet in our room which is separate from the bathroom and does not have a hose to wash away the urine stench left over time. Even though the housekeeping staff came to clean up, the stench just couldn't go away. It was a pity!

Trip gives the impression this is a five star hotel. It's not. It is 4 star. It is also quite dated. It's not bad, but it's far from great. Again, Trip gives the impression that it much better than it is. It's quite a worn out place with rooms in desperate need of a makeover. It also lacks charm or a feel of sophistication. Just kink of bland, really. Also, you can really taste the savings at the breakfast buffet. Again, not bad, but really cheap and bland. The one stand out was the Chinese food I ordered for room service.

The hotel's stay exceeded my expectations in every aspect. The hotel is located close to the central landmarks such as May Fourth Square and Hong Kong Middle Road MixC. It is also very convenient to travel to the destination with Metro Line 3, which saves me a lot of time. The room is clean, with complete disposable supplies, and the bathroom is carefully cleaned without any unpleasant smells. The staff at the front desk are friendly. Because the weather is hot, they carefully provided drinks with our ID cards when checking in. When we left the hotel, it was too early and there was no subway to the airport. The hotel also helped to call a taxi and carry our luggage... Most of the problems when we checked in were considered in advance for us. Whether it was the warm reception at check-in, it made people feel very warm.

Not wanting to cause trouble, I had no choice but to ask to change rooms the next day. The reason I didn't give it a 2 is because of the face of the girl at the front desk, who helped me move my luggage when I changed rooms, which was pretty good. I stayed in room 1020 on my first day. The bathroom water smelled very bad, the mattress sank (cannot be seen in photos) and my whole body ached after sleeping one night. The bedding was also very hygienic. The light switch is behind the bedside. You can't turn on the light without pulling on the bedside. The location where the bed is placed is too narrow. The distance between the bed and the wardrobe is about 35 centimeters, and the wardrobe door cannot be opened. Generally speaking, Qingdao hotels are not cost-effective, and the price is over 400.

I visited Qingdao for my wife birthday trip and stayed at the hotel in St. Regis Qingdao for one night. I felt very good with the kind hospitality of the staff from the moment I arrived at the hotel. GGuest UserQingdao Shangri-la's service needs major improvements, the level of negligence and sheer rudeness of staff was shocking and unfitting for a second tier city like Qingdao. We really expected better.
We stayed at the hotel for five nights in May. We arrived in the afternoon around 4pm -- way past the earliest time for check in, but were told by the staff that the room is not ready. They only allowed us to keep our luggage with the reception, and couldn't even tell us when the room will be ready again. What's worse -- we had to ask in order to get a slight upgrade. This is the worst service I've seen in a five-star hotel in China.
There's more. We visited the mediteranean restaurant in the hotel for a quick pre-dinner drink and snack, as we got a voucher with our stay. After we ordered drinks, a complimentary snack and some fries, the Chinese staff commented, ”You guys are eating very little”. That's quite unimaginable to me to be treated as such in an upscale venue like this. We didn't want to spend more at that restaurant, even though the quality of the food was fine.
Shangri-la, please train your Chinese staff and align them with your global standards. Guests deserve better.

Zebra hotel also includes a fitness area (gym) and parking lot, which can accommodate 20 cars. In the peak season, the room rates range from 236 to 500 yuan. Zebra Hotel pays attention to details and allows guests to enjoy the boutique hotel experience. No hotel is complete without a good restaurant, and zebra hotel is no exception. This restaurant provides Chinese and western breakfasts, lunches and diners. It has a good restaurant decorated with southwest style and a private Chinese restaurant that can be enjoyed. Although the restaurant's menu can satisfy any taste, the chef is also very flexible. For example, if you want to taste the best seafood in Qingdao, the chef is always at your service. At zebra Hotel, the owner of the hotel will ensure that everything meets your needs and provides an exclusive experience. Although zebra hotel may not be able to provide the same central location as other accommodation, its personalized service and state-of-the-art facilities make up for this deficiency. First and foremost, the receptionist displayed exceptional customer service. Our early morning arrival was met with a warm welcome and an unexpected early check-in. This considerate gesture allowed us to freshen up and kick-start our adventure, setting a positive tone for our stay.
During our visit, there was a minor hiccup with housekeeping - a misplaced pair of Nike Air Max shoes. Thankfully, the vigilant receptionist swiftly resolved the issue, locating and returning the missing item promptly. To make amends for the inconvenience, they went the extra mile, offering a small gift and complimentary breakfast coupons as a gesture of goodwill. Such attentiveness to guest needs is truly commendable.
While we chose to explore authentic local cuisine during our trip, bypassing hotel dining, I cannot provide feedback on the food quality or variety.
In terms of location, this hotel scores points for convenience. Taxis are readily available, and it took us just 30 minutes to reach the stunning Laoshan Mountain, a must-visit destination. Additionally, the hotel's proximity to a bustling night market right across the street adds to its appeal.
However, there's room for improvement, notably in the cleanliness department. The bathrooms, in particular, left much to be desired, with an unpleasant odour lingering during our stay. Broken equipment, such as the wardrobe, was also in need of repair. Furthermore, the electric kettle was not up to our cleanliness standards, discouraging its use.
In summary, this hotel offers excellent customer service, convenient access to transportation and local attractions, and a proactive approach to guest satisfaction. However, attention to cleanliness and maintenance, especially in the bathrooms, is an area that could use some enhancement.

GGuest UserConvenient transportation, but you have to go across the street to park. The bed is very comfortable to sleep on. You can also wash clothes. Just stick a few hooks to hang clothes. There is also beer for sale downstairs. I buy a bottle every day and drink it while watching movies. Not bad, there are Hema and IKEA next to it. It is very suitable for staying for a few days

RRachelle MaeLocation is great because our intention was to be in the Laoshan District. Might not be easy if most of your plans are in the touristy areas such as the Tsingtao Brewery Museum. Anyway, there is Metro (underground subway) which helped us address that in case we wanted to have a look at downtown. The hotel is a 10 min walk from either Haiyou or Haichuan stations in Line 2.
We’re not so much of a fan of Chinese food for breakfast, so the free breakfast was not fascinating for us. They did have eggs and bread.
There is an elevator to help us carry or luggage all the way to our floors. And the room was neat and clean, and they clean it every time we’re out.

GGuest UserI was surprised to find a treasure niche boutique hotel. The hotel is conveniently located, the door is very low-key, the stay found that the environment inside is very good, the layout details are tasteful, I like it very much, the room is comfortable and satisfactory.
The front desk of the hotel said that there was a free coffee gift on the first night, and a glass of ice latte was really delicious! ! I asked the front desk to know that this was prepared by the hotel owner. The boss himself is also a coffee hobby. He uses the good beans that the boss drinks by himself. Like me like coffee to live must taste, better than star dad.
I am used to staying in a chain hotel. It is rare to encounter a hotel that makes me feel warm and cost-effective. It is worth my serious evaluation and worth recommending.

GGuest UserThe room is clean and hygienic, not damp. The facilities are complete and easy to get. The service is in place and enthusiastic, and I feel very good when I come here. The room is beautiful and ventilated, there is no messy noise, the location is easy to find and convenient.
